I've been watching most of his games lately, he's impressive for sure, high end speed/skating with a good motor as he keeps his feet moving unlike say Demidov who I have just watched all 3 of his VHL/MHL games and while he was injured twice from the sounds of it, he is the opposite as he loves to coast (though I don't know if it was due to the injuries)

I like Artamonov more then Silayev though we'll see as each looked better in the 4 games, so 2 for each. I plan on seeing a lot of them though.
Thanks for the info

Impressive stats for a 2025 prospect

Cayden Lindstrom is quickly going to move up the rankings, I’m sure of it. He’s looking like a dangerous offensive threat. Intriguing tools and plays a power game.

And I’m not sure if he’ll be a 1st rounder, but Tij Iginla is an improved player in nearly every single facet compared to last season. It’s going to be fun watching his progression. Would be fun to have an Iginla on the Habs. :naughty:
And he is 6'5" / 195 cm

With the proviso that after the selection is made, one can b**ch about it for decades...
You can bitch about it right after it's made.

That way, if the Habs get lucky and are in a position to draft either and you prefer the other, or someone else completely, post it and if you're right, you'll be a legend.

Unlike these people who jump on the hate bandwagon well after it's established the player, coach, GM, etc isn't working it and claim they were the first.

I didn't see the games yet and they were against a shitty Atlantic conference team but Levshunov picked up 2 goals, 1 assist in 2 games (last night/tonight)

I watched him a bit and while his game isn't perfect, there are a lot of moments where he just dominates and heavily tilts the game in favour of MSU whenever he jumps on the ice which is very impressive for a 17-year old dman in the NCAA. His highs are very high.

Heading to the London Knights, Erie Otters game on Friday. Will be watching for Malcom Spence, Matthew Schaeffer and of course Dickinson. Guys we should be watching for the next two drafts. Mostly Spence. High OHL draft pick. Late 2006 forward.

Ill give an update Saturday.
Some quick thoughts before bed.

Dickinson played an average game for him. Long powerful strides. Sees the ice very well. Occasionally pinches. Calm presence. Pissed off Haltunnen towards end of game by not passing. Probable top 10. Shouldn't be a target for us next year as we need one of the top forwards.

Schaeffer - I can clearly see why he was a 1st overall OHLer. Best defensive on the ice today in my opinion. Elite skater and edge work. Heads up throughout the game and makes very quick decisions. Stick handling is solid. He is going to be a top pick in the NHL draft. Very impressed. Would love it if we drafter him in 25.

Spence - flashy at times. Quick and shifty. Was invisible for first half of game. Got Rob Schremp vibes. Need to see more of him.

Other random thoughts...

Cowan looked dangerous all night. Brendan Gallagher clone for the Leafs. Gritty and hard worker.

Haltunnen is big and strong. Decent skater. Need to see more, which I will for sure.

Not a science for me here...just my observations. Watch Schaefer would be my only advice.

Watched the 3rd period, he looked pretty good, still too small of a sample so I will try to watch one of his next games.

On another note, Cayden Lindstrom was gorgeous tonight, a total puck possession beast in the same mold as Slafkovsky, but not quite the same talent level. Kid is 6'5 and skates like the wind while his puckhandling skills are high level. His tools instantly stood out at the Hlinka, but I found he was a bit raw. Tonight was a pretty solid showing and you can see that his tools will translate easily to the pros. Scored a nice goal and danced with the puck all night.

Cayden Lindstrom is my pick. And he’s physical and a beast in faceoff circle.

Those big dudes in junior scare me, is Lindstrom beating up on people because he's a man amongst boys or is he actually good? Maybe resident Byfield skeptic SOLR has an opinion. I don't suspect he'll be in the range of how high we pick anyway. Side note - 15 year old Gavin McKenna is already leading Medicine Hat in scoring (15 pts in 11). Lol

He’s got very good skills. Good hands.

He will climb up the ranking. He’ll be ranked in top 15 by end of the season.

It's weird that being big and athletic in juniors is sorta counted against prospects.

Atanasov is gonna get picked up next draft for sure.

Hope it’s us since he plays with Konyushkov and it appears some of out scouts knows Igor Larionov well.

looks like it's going to be a big year for the NCAA for the draft. I never heard of this kid, Tanner Adams at Providence, he was passed over last draft as he just made the 9-15 cutoff by a few days so he would have been one of the youngest players drafted. Haven't seen him yet but will at some point but great start to his Freshman year with 6 pts in 4 games.

He won't though, as he is too old to be eligible for the draft.

That’s true you’re very right, for some reason i thought he had 1 last shot at the draft but he is a 2002.

he's considered an '03 as he missed the cutoff by 10 days for the '02 class. So he was passed over in the '21, '22 and '23 drafts.
