To anyone watching BOS-TOR right now..

This is kinda why we need a Lindstrom (if he has a clean bill of health).

Playoffs are a different beast, and he seems like a perfect fit.
I think Montreal's current management values size a lot high in the draft. Slaf, Reinbacher... 2 in 2 so far. They also traded for 6'3 Dach.... Newhook is small however.

We'll see, but for the forwards only Lindstrom fits the profile in the top 10. Dickinson, Levshunov and Silayev for the Ds.

Agreed.

I think the thought behind Newhook is that his speed makes up for lack of size.

Iginla I think also brings size and grit.

I’ve heard the opposite. I heard Lindstrom has the tools but maybe lacks the IQ relying too much on said tools
Injuries worry me too much on Lindstrom. If I have chance at Catton I am taking it. If all 3 top forwards are gone I am taking right D. Or, If return is huge on Guhle I may trade him for core forward and pick Dickinson. Part because I am exceptionally high on Dickinson.

Anyhow, I haven't been tampering with it in a few weeks because Im finishing up my bachelors right now and I haven't had much time to myself but :

That 5-8 group of forwards is really close in my opinion. I'm hoping that Iginla goes to the U18's as otherwise the only one we have to still see (and potentially raise his stock) is Helenius. Curious to see how Eiserman's game has evolved (or not) as he already dominated the U18's last year.

Philly took Mitchkov last year. They've already got one.

And we've got Hutson... it's why we won't take Buium. Gotta say though, I'd love to take Buium. But we need a forward badly.

Even if you have Mitchkov, you draft Demidov, different players - same line. Hell, add Ryabkin next year, and you have a trio.

Buium is the one D I would make an exception for even if we need a forward.

Sure. Unless you need D.

There are some awesome blueliners in this draft. If you've got Mitchkov and need D, you go that way instead.

I think you also need a different dimension for your club. If you've got Michkov, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go with Lidstrom.

He looks really good. I'd love to take him but we're so out of balance right now, it just doesn't make sense to do it when there are forwards that can really help us. And again, we've got Hutson who will serve the same role. There's only so much icetime.

Sure that's Levshunov, and only Levshunov is in Demidov's tier.
