Simon snake Boisvert on:

Lindstrom
Iginla
Catton
Eiserman

He is exactly where I am.

Catton 5th overall

Then Iginla , Lindstrom later

He gives a lot of détails on each

Starting at 37.12 (French)

Catton is better than Iginla and way better than Lindstrom

Boisvert is more often than not wrong in a big way, fwiw.

He also had no idea about Trevor Connelly's "issues" even though they were well known, and was advocating for the Habs to draft him with their first pick on Meatball's podcast.
He is still advocate to draft him..did you watched the podcast that I just posted..he said that he did those mistakes at 15 years old .

Anyhow..his take on Catton are exactly like mine..

I'm aware of his age but I think he might be a sociopath so his age is irrelevant to me.

I found the odd thing was how he’d say “would I take him at 5/6? Maybe not. Maybe around 10.”

Nah, if they like a guy, they’re picking him where they sit. … if he’s among the 6 forwards who *could* go top 10 - they won’t hesitate.

After watching Slafkovski yesterday, I would love to add another animal like him to this core.

Take Lindstrom if you can and pair him with Dach!

Honestly it seems that MTL won't draft a LD so anyone of the following should be fine:

Celebrini
Demidov
Lindstrom
Levshunov
Iginla
Catton

Yeah listened to Hughes, if the clear BPA is a LD they'll try to move down. Don't expect Dickinson or Silayev. They didn't rule out RD though.
If MTL draft 5-6-7 and Levshunov is still there I could understand going for him if Demidov and Lindstrom are gone.

Who would you rather have between Catton Iginla and Levshunov?

What minute mark is that and why is he giving away that information????

He already gave it away last year, everyone knows they aren't taking a LD.

I wasn't looking at time stamps but it was middle endish

Thank you, I listened to the interview, but I was in the middle of cooking and a few other things, so ended up missing that part.

But last year he said maybe they would have been less interested in Reinbacher if he was an LD. Reinbacher doesn't project to be a number 1 D. If there is a player they think will be a number 1 D and he's an LD, I'd take him if I were them.

Interesting post. He makes it sound like getting a D is a definite possibility. I hope that there is a plan in place to trade one of our excess Ds for a high first-round pick if so.

Hughes interview puts cold water on a left shot defenseman. Levshunov is gone for sure. Don't think they're Yakemchuk fans (skating on the back end is a prerequisite for Marty) so Parekh would be the only option that makes sense.
