Really sad to hear about the injury issues Lindstrom is having, I was hoping we could nab him. I think we might draft iginla if all the other big Fs are gone. Would be interesting, and you know the media would love MSL tutoring Iggy's son.

Celebrini has injured the same shoulder twice, just a piece of glass and not worth considering for a top pick.
Catton was injured for quite a while when he was at Shattuck's, better not draft him as he's obviously injury prone.
Demidov had a bad knee injury to start the year, don't want to risk it with knees as he probably won't be able to skate after he turns 20.
Iginla missed a couple games with an LBI, probably has a prosthetic foot we don't know about.
Silayev looks like he's destined for busted knees too, the doctors seem to have put hinges in that allow them to extend both ways.

Hockey players get injured.

Levshunov is likely gone.

Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom, Levshunov, Dickinson are likely gone by the time the Habs pick.

Buium seems like he's a slightly bigger Hutson. Parekh could be a Karlsson with his offense and terrible defense.

Catton would be interesting.

If the sens pass the Habs, they're likely raking a RHD.

There's stuff to like that the Habs are doing, or their prospects are doing, but there needs to be more. Habs desperately need that game breaker.

I get that it's negative, but it's also facing reality.
Its just negative. Demidov is the only prospect that has separated himself from the pack, the next 3 forwards and 3 defenders are all in the same group.

The good thing about prostethic limbs is that they dont require any healing time when they get re-injured.

I’m not convinced that Dickinson will be gone but I wouldn’t take him regardless.

Yeah but if it's persisting it's worth taking into consideration.

We will draft top #5 or no later than #8 overall if we do the math.

Here are my top 8 in order I want the team to pick.

1. Celebrini
2. Demidov
3. Lidstrom
4. Catton
5. Eiserman
6. Perekh
7. Dickinson
8. Greentree

I’m trusting NHL medical professionals before the folks down in Medicine Hat when it comes to dealing with any injury concerns.

Back issue is so vague. For all we know is when he was injured with his wrist issue, he worked out and tweaked his back. It doesn’t mean he’s wheelchair bound.
This, we are a backwater medically.

I would add that people were freaking out when Slaf got injured last year, Fantilli's season is over, Leo Carlsson got injured twice and Bedard missed a couple of weeks with a broken jaw.

There's injuries and there are multiple injuries on innocuous plays (like Dach and likely his brother). Hard to determine injury prone players but if the have had several injuries before getting to the NHL beware.

These kids shouldn't be getting back issues this young

Could be from poor weight training methods. Kids can injure their back. I injured mine playing baseball when I was 16-17. I was backcatcher and there was a play at the plate, ball came in off the plate and I stretched for it because I wanted to keep my foot on the plate, and pulled it.

I continued playing even though it was sore. I woke up next morning and couldn't get out of bed. I couldn't swing my legs over the side. I couldn't lift my legs. I finally managed to roll out of bed and ended up face first in my bedroom carpet. I crawled out of my room to get my dad. He took me to our doctor. I was prescribed muscle relaxants which were pretty awesome. About a month later I was back playing.

If it's a muscle tear, it can take a lot longer.

Nolan Patrick says hi. The fact is that Turcotte s career is being slowed down by injuries and if LA would have known they likely would not have drafted him 5OA.
None of the players you mention above has missed such a significant part of his D season (Nolan Patrick has FYI).
Fact is that if you think a guy has a lot of talent but won t be able to play because of a lasting injury you don t pick him as high as you would if he were healthy.
You make it sound like fun, but guess what teams care about injuries. Also no player mentioned above is rumored to still feel pain of their injuries and there have been a sample of gsmes played since their injury

I haven't watched a ton of him but lack of compete and non existence of a defensive game are the highlights personally I'd still take him if Catton Demidov and Lindstrom are all gone you can't teach the shot he has.

Thanks. Very curious to see how this draft shakes down. I just hope we get lucky and our decision is easy

Comes down to the eye test with Eiserman; no one in the pop scout world can identify what he excels at outside of scoring goals (even his largest backer, Wheeler, has difficulty beyond this point), and in today's NHL you need to be able to excel at more than just shot quality when considering potential impact at the top of the draft. Harder to get into position and repeat your exploits in a faster, stronger league, and the lack of development in other areas of his game are hurting his projection.

Whenever the stats and eye-test don't match, team interviews and background checks will be key to determining whether a player's ranking is justified or requires additional context we outside detractors can't know; hence, I would not take Eiserman in the top 10, but I would not think it asinine to see him go top 5 either. We all have the ability to make our own opinions on prospects, the key is to not got personal with disagreements when we aren't all knowing.

Trust Bob bud. He'll be the closest. I personally don't think Eiserman drops outside of the top 10. U18's are coming too. That will adjust things even more.

Wow! What a fantastical story. Oh, I don't mean your injury. I mean your dad got you to a family doctor that very day.

I check where you're from. T.O. Ontario. That explains it. Carry on. Excuse me for doubting you.

I can call my family doctor for an emergency any day generally and I live in the same part of Toronto as @MarkovsKnee. Quebec just has a shi*** medical system which coming from an Ontarian, means a lot

I guess they should have thought about putting on their medicine shirt and pants on before the hat.
Wonderful place to live, but for serious medical stuff we get sent to Calgary.
