If you look at Bob's rankings MBN Goss around 20th, so the Habs could move up and grab him with the Jets 1st rounder.
Not necessarily with MBN as he might go earlier than 20th but the idea to trade up with this trade with all the assets we have is an interesting one.

Assuming we draft one of Demidov, Lindstrom, Eiserman, Catton (or Silayev christ) and we can snag another prospects of high caliber at 15th-20th range in moving up.

Let's say we end up with Demidov and Greentree(taken with 27 with a move up.) It would be quite a big step forward for our offensive core.

How is Demidov after knee injury compared to before? What I'm reading is old, so I'm guessing he recovered since.

He's been an absolute f***ing monster recently and is dominating the MHL. I think he might get called up to the VHL soon.

he's been a monster the whole time, he should never have been in the MHL this year as he broke the points record in the MHL last year for U-18's. The rumor is his KHL team won't move him up due to him refusing to re-sign.

He had 11 pts in 2 games last week where his team won 20-0 combined so he's not really challenged though like Celebrini he still needs to bulk up and improve lower body strength for when they hit the NHL.

I said it in the Monahan trade thread but I wouldn't be surprised if Hughes uses the Jets' pick to trade up if we end up picking in the 7-10 range.

I believe they won't want to miss out once again on the top forwards.

It's really doubtful we can trade up in the top 10. It just doesn't happen. If anything we might trade up from Winnipeg's pick, but I think ultimately we'll trade that pick.

Yes, but that's all he can do.

And no I'm not talking about not being a 200 ft player (which he isn't).. I'm talking about, can he pass, can he stick handle, can he manipulate defenses, can he break the puck out of his own zone, can he throw a hit, can he get the puck off the wall, can he turn pucks over?

He's just a shooter. He shoots. He shoots even when it isn't good to shoot.

It's a great trick but the Canadiens would be looking at guys who can score at a lower pace but bring more dimensions to the offense.
I’m sure we’ll do our homework. I don’t like Mitch Marner type guys with no heart and maybe that’s Eiserman.

But he could turn out to be amazing. I think a coach like MSL would greatly help. The guy has all the tools and is scoring better than a goal per game. We want a superstar right? This guy has superstar talent.

Bob Mackenzie mentioned that scouts think that he can do it all including pas and skate. But they haven’t seen the passing from him and he’s got no B game this year. But he oozes talent.

I hope we don’t just write this guy off.

or advance from (for exemple) #7 to #5
Usually it’s not common to see these types of trade but if the team at 5 wants a D and KH offers 7+ 28-32 and tells him they intend to go forward, basically the team is sliding one spot.

If we draft Lindstrom and use Mesar+Harris+WIN 1st to move up and take Buium, I'll kiss Hughes on his bald head.

FC Hockey has released their Mid Term Mock Draft

They have the Habs picking Demidov at 8th

I would definitely be happy with that.

There's no way we take Kiviharju tho

My hopes are up now
Besides Celebrini, Demidov seems to be the next big thing that year.
My top #5
Celebrini
Demidov
Lindstrom
Eiserman
Catton

#7 = Catton / Helenius
#28 = Boisvert / Hage

what do you guy's think of Dean Letourneau ?
