The way I see it if they don't win the lottery this season they have probably 2-3 more seasons where they will be low enough to have a solid chance to win it, just got to hope they draft the right players at whatever number it ends up being.

hawks 16 games left 7 home 9 road 7 are VS non playoff contending teams last game is Kings
ANA 17 games left 7 home 10 road 8 are VS non playoff contending teams last game Vs Vegas
SJ 18 games left 9 home 9 road and 11 are vs non playoff contending teams last game Vs cal

I mention the last game because if teams in the playoffs are locked into a spot they sit there top players the last game.

Finishing last doubles our chances at Celebrini. Plus it means we didn't jump up which is relevant.
Finishing last only gives us a 25% chance at getting him. Statistically, it's more likely that he goes somewhere besides San Jose or Chicago.

And its a giant crapshoot after him. 2-8 is gonna come down to personal preference.

Might as well be happy watching Bedard burn villages for now and hope the Hawks get lucky, or at least have a solid scouting department.

That didn't work last year...

Let the ping pong balls do their thing.

We're getting a blue chipper regardless of where they fall.
This is still ignoring the lotto ball opportunity could end.

If they win the lottery again and move up, they can't win for another 4 years. The next 2 years they're likely having high lotto odds still. We could hope they can win those and not be locked out.

Sorry for the intrusion. It feels like Blackhawks have locked in a top 4 pick and I was curious who Blackhawks fans are leaning towards for their pick assuming they miss out on Celebrini.

Who are the top 2/3 players that you guys feel the Blackhawks will draft?

IMO I feel like Levshunov/Silayev/Lindstrom would be the most likely picks.

Who would guys pick at 2?

So many different routes to take here.

I could see them take Lindstrom and just put him with Bedard. Imagine the damage Lindstrom-Bedard-Nazar could do together on a line.

Or go with Leveshunov and have our D-core pretty much set.
Something like:
Korchinski-Leveshunov
Vlasic-Jones
EDM-Rinzel

Or go with Demidov. Either pairing him with Bedard or let him drive his own line.

Exciting times to have a high draft pick :)

Any chance CHI could package the TB first and next year's TOR first to move up in this year's draft?

It would be nice to have a top 3 and a top 10 if possible

I do not like Silayev and think he doesn't have enough offense. Also he's left handed. If they're going to take a defenseman, I'd rather it be Levshunov or Yakemchuk. I am really high on Yakemchuk.

I don’t watch a ton of prospects, but I saw Buium early in the year and have made a point to keep tabs, and I love his game. Would happily package TB and Tor picks to move up and get him.
