Catton only picked up steam as the season went on. He’s going to have the second most points in WHL D0 in the past 10 years, only to Bedard.
Besides celebrini is he your second guy? Let’s say if the hawks end up in the top 4 but not at number 1.

I wouldn't mind sliding down a few slots (If we lose lottery ) to acquire more picks . Doesn't seem to be a huge difference in 2nd overall compared to 6th . Feel free to fire away .

Yeah also would not mind that at all if someone falls in love with someone specific at 2 or 3. We do need high end talent so I understand the argument against it but I think 2-9 is almost interchangeable this year.

If we can't get Celebrini, I'm all for Lindstrom. I wouldn't be upset either way but I see our system needing more forward depth than defense at the moment. Even if he tops out as a #2C with 50-60 pts a year, he's 6'4 with some nasty and I'll be happy with that
I’d plaster him next to Bedard for the next 15 years. Let Moore or Nazar center the second line

I would go the MSU RHD Artom Lehyskov if we pick second. Plays massive mins for them and he’s got all the tools

Would ensure we are set at D for a decade if he hits with him Vlasic Korch and Jones as the vet signed long term. Also Del Mastro and Rinzel on the way plus Allan

I would strongly consider Levshunov. The ceiling is there. Its almost impossible to get that ceiling for a big right handed defenseman outside of the top 5.

I love Eiserman I know others dont but his goal scoring production is incredible. Stick him with Nazar. Fade LD not because of the players just because of where we are with Korchinski Vlasic Del Mastro. I believe in that group.

Celebrini
Levshunov
Eiserman
Demidov
Lindstrom
Catton
Parekh

Yakemchuk is older but I think he has that ceiling as well.

Wouldn't mind moving down to grab him. People complained about Mintyukov being older and he turned out fine.

I'm pretty excited to see who comes out of the 2nd round.
Hawks have 3 picks there? If they even hit on one, it's great.

All this talk. We are getting the #1 pick. No other option.
It wouldn’t be a terrible tragedy at all if we pick top 3 and walk out with a RHD. Much better for the rebuild even.

If you look at the last few* drafts the best available or selected in the top 10 were Reinbacher, Jiricek, Nemec, Seider, Clarke, Drysdale… it’s kind of far and few between.

Who are speculative RHD in the next draft?

To me if we do not get Celebrini we need a legit 2C impact guy Fyer Bedard ..That with size is the logical need *though we also need a bother RD whose upside is even better than Rinzel ...But it is hard to find a pro size Center with talent... caydenLindstrom is our logical choice.

If I was goibg for smaller skilked wingers then Demidov then Catgon...

But IF we draft 3rd or 4th then I think KD switches to the RD need over the winger options.

Therexare 2 prize Centers on the top 4 =Celebrini and Lindstrom..

It is possible that the team drafting 2nd dman or Demidov ...maybe a team deaftin 3rd takes whoever remains from Demidov or their top rated Dman.

Levshunov is likely the top rated dman on most lists...Silayev's offense gelk off a cliff in the 2nd half...cannot see him going top 4 now.

I am still debating g between Levshunov and Oarekh on my own top D rating.

Anyway. As long as AFTER Celebrini goes #1of Hawks did not draftcat#1,then my next target woukd be Lindstrom ...You do not get a chance at a Big strong Center with his 3 zone play ,goal scoribg and physical play with edge very often..a unicorn Center on my opinion with tremendous upside once he fully matures to his max massive effect ...
You also get a playoff impact presence that you do not get with smalklforwards luke Catton or Demidiv.. They might get more points than Lindstrom 's ceiling...but 2 zone oay and physical effect domination you will not get with tge fancy dans..

If both Celebrini and Lindstrom gone when we pick ,then I hope KD goes RD with either Levshunov or Parekh ...because we will not get a top RD with the later first...

HOWEVER ,I can see KD going LD with the TB pick in round 1..I could make a case that LD (even though thatvs not our biggest pipeline need) because both Jesse Pulkkinen and Alfons Frieij are terrific LD prospects ..We may get a choice between them or 1 may go off earlier...They woukd be under cobsiderationwoth a large a large group from 15-32 by a lot of GMs I think..Pulkkinen isxa D+1 but the size physicality skating and puck moving are a very nice package and his great offensive improvement this this has got to attract scouts interested. FREIJ is decent sizexat 6'1 190s but is much younger and has so much offensive ability that he could be a 1D and top pp qb moving that puck.
The forwards remaining at our TB pick all bring some risks...maybe God players or just equal to some of our other forward prospects..
Both bring different aspects but just intrigued by what each might bring when they hitthe vNHL.

The exception at forward is Big Center Dean Letourneau...but thecrosk is hebonly played Prepb chool hockey and is ranked more latex20s earlyv39s because of that...besidesvif we took Celebrini or Lindstrom with the earlier first then we need another position for this pick.

If Letourneau lasts to our1st pick ofvroubdc2 then risk on him.

So I have this strategy:

1st pick round 1 =Center target ;
If Celebrini and Lindstrom gone before we pick then swicth to RD (Levshunov or Parekh )

For the TB pick target =LD (Freij or Pulkkinen)
If they go off the board before this pick then consider forwards:

.Nikita Artamanov W
.Andrew Basha W

I like Liam Greentree but expect he goes off the board 12-15 th..so I just do not see him remaining at the TB pick we have.

If he is somehow is still there at this pick THEN yes he would be tge top target for us.

At 2 or 3, it depends how much you like Levshunov. After him there isn't a RHD in sight.

And I don't think I'd pick him over Lindstrom or Silayev.

Starting to wonder if Catton should be getting more discussion at #2.

I know he’s small but his production and overall game are very impressive.

For me right now…

1. Celebrini
2. Demidov
3. Levshunov
4. Lindstrom
5. Silayev/Catton

2-5 are extremely interchangeable IMO.

I’m still not sure what kind of upside Silayev has offensively.

He absolutely should get more love at 2 but the thing he lacks (size) isn’t really something you can change.

I would take him at 2 and never look back. Lindstrom has essentially a 30~ game sample size on a stacked roster. You really going to take him top 5 over a guy who has one of the best WHL seasons this side of the 2000s? He’s going to score 50 goals and over 100 points as a draft eligible center on a dog shit roster. He’s in on over 50% of their goals.

Outside of the obvious Celebrini at #1. The next 5 players are somewhat interchangeable based on preference and need.

Levshunov, Lindstrom, Demindov, Catton, Silayev. I don't remember when a Russian went in the top 3. last? Svechnikov but he was already over in NA playing. There is too much risk going after Silayev or Demidov in the top 3 if there is any chance that they stay in Russia. That leaves Levshunov, Lindstrom, and Catton.

I just can't see CHI passing on the RHD or Power Center. Levshunov could be like Ekblad/McAvoy and Lindstrom could be like Barkov/Kopitar. Either player is a great option if they reach their potential.

Final Order:

Celebrini
Levshunov
Lindstrom

Demidov
Silayev
Catton

Yep, if we don't draft either 1st (Celebrini) or 2nd (Lindstrom) - I would be torn between Eiserman, Levshunov and Parekh - and would be very pleased with any one of them.

I would say Levshunov would be the safest pick between those 3, with Eiserman a great sniper but needs work in other areas and Parekh being kind of a wild card where he could be the next offensive d-man superstar but he has the biggest bust potential of the three.

Hopefully we get Celebrini or Lindstrom and don't have to worry about it.
