It will be interesting to see how Verstappen manages to win in Monaco from 6th.
That said, Zak O'Sullivan just won the F2 feature race from 15th. Might've been the most perfect SC/VSC timing ever.

Isaack Hadjar will make such a great F1 villain (especially with the help of British Media - we're already seeing it in their treatment of Ocon, and Ocon is significantly less temperamental) and I'll probably cheer for him every single minute.

K-Mag decided to lower his carbon footprint by making sure he'd be out for Canada.

Lance Stroll appears to have had quite a start, now between the Alpines when he qualified 14th.

Ocon is one of the dive best drivers this season. Easily. But that was total rubbish.

Edit : Finally Stroll just had a good start and passed two cars as opposed to 4.

The race in Monaco might be boring, but I'd rather watch qualifying in Monaco than the race at like 10 of the current tracks. :dunno:

A time trial would be more interesting, or some kind of an elimination format. Just nothing that requires overtaking because that's not going to happen.

Well, there was some overtaking in F3 and F2. Those cars are also significantly smaller, and F1 cars, while they could shrink in size, will probably never shrink enough to make a regular race interesting or relevant.

So... Yeah, change in format. Would also help with the narrative that Monaco is somehow more important than other races.

My first Monaco GP was 1990... there were a number of overtakes and overtakes happening everywhere ..

The massive difference in car size from 1990 to 2024 is certainly the main issue.. Not sure if there is any consideration being given to car size in the 2026 regs.

The length of the cars has changed dramatically from 1990 to 2024, but the width hasn't changed all that much. The problem is aero and turbulence behind, and there is no way for them to fix that.

We took the subway along with 1000's of other F1 fans only to have our connector train cease to run for the day. Official word was temperatures but I find that hard to believe.

So 1000's of us stranded in the rain and having to scramble back to where we came from. Not enough cabs and cabs can only get so close anyway with traffic.

Try to get to the track tonight.. If not, trains are supposed to be running tomorrow for FP3 and qualifying.
