You can predict with almost near certainty who our scouting staff is going to pick based on who has the most PIM totals.

They are obsessed with toughness and physicality. You'd think they would have learned a lesson from picking Boucher, but apparently not.

Very surprised.
But I’m gonna pretend I’m super excited. And hope I can keep it rolling.

Back to my old old post,

Ok I ran the physical play through my head and like it. Let’s go

Looks like he’s big and has good hands for a defenceman. What else is there about his game?

Not my choice at #7 but I know nothing. I would have thought he would have been available later in a trade down scenario but obviously they coveted him. Hope Yakemchuck works for us. Welcome to the Ottawa Senators Carter!

@Sens in Process Santa granted you your wish! I hope you are right about this guy being Jesus reincarnated.

Not my pick but not a bad pick if it works out.

The mean edge to his play is an aspect I really like.

nice pick, player seems very shy. Reminds me of Chris Phillips a bit at the same age

I certainly wasn't expecting this pick and I'm not so enthused but I know nothing. Obviously Staios, as a very solid damn for a long time, sees something he really likes here to not trade down.

They got the donuts? Excellent....
Explains why the Sens might have moved down with the Flyers because there'd have been a good chance he'd still be available at 12.

Not my pick but I've not seen anyone but Celebrini play and just basing my opinion on what other's have said.

Hope I'm wrong and he pans out, but there were several others that I would have preferred at his position. Feels like the sens constantly draft guys who accumulate PIMS, and are ranked below their concenus pre draft rankings (which don't always pan out but its better than reaching with top 10 picks.

Mark Seidel who’s been accurately predicting picks said we were heavily considering Cole Beaudoin but we didn’t expect Yakemchuk to be there. So we were moving down for Beaudoin if anything.
