Thank God Demidov is that good he will be a superstar regardless of the BS he has to put up with this yearSuch a Canadiens thing to have the best prospect not in the NHL and he can't play in the WJC because of Putin's senseless murdering of Ukrainians.. and he doesn't get to play the ice time and opportunites he should in the KHL because Putin's little butt buddy is gifted the team to coach as a pet project to keep him busy.

Taking Lindstrom over Demidov would have been the last straw if both were available. At least we know how good Demidov is and we'll get him over next year. Just imagine if we had Cayden Lindstrom instead. The three top picks of the rebuild would be Slaf struggling in the NHL and Reinbacher and Lindstrom injured all year. This board would be in complete shambles.
No, his contract would say otherwiseI wonder if he’ll get any games with the Habs near the end of this season. The Russians finish earlier but I guess it depends on their playoffs.no

Its been reported that SKA intend to be assholes and if they are eliminated before the Habs are done playing, they won't relinquish his contract before the end date of it in May.
They let Michkov go, stop falling for propaganda. Until it happens or doesn’t happen there’s no point getting riled up.As is only good and proper! The NHL rapscallions think they can continue to rob the KHL blind, they have another thing coming! We were fooled!

If their season is over, what contract? No, his contract would say otherwise
Exactly and I still feel there was something fishy about that whole situation. They’re screwing Demidov over yet they let him out of a 3 year contract? There’s something that we don’t know for sure. They let Michkov go, stop falling for propaganda. Until it happens or doesn’t happen there’s no point getting riled up.
If Michkov is actually as good as so many are saying, and there's no attitude issues, why did SKA not keep him around? Why did they ship him off to Sochi? Why did they let him out of his contract an entire two years early? Nothing makes sense except for the "bad attitude" theory. No team, even Rotenberg's SKA, lets a guy touted this highly to walk away from that many years of team control. Their handling of Demidov makes it clear how they treat players they value, so they clearly didn't value Michkov.Exactly and I still feel there was something fishy about that whole situation. TBH moving Demidov back to C would solve a lot of problems.I do think the ideal move is to find a centre good enough to make Suzuki our 2C.
Because they knew his intentions were to play in NA, thus SKASP got trade value at the time. Besides HCS is not good and Mitchkoff wanted more time on ice. I read that sentence as "As you can see, I am obviously on my own here and taking charge of my own development".

Demidov isn’t a centre and shouldn’t be used as oneTBH moving Demidov back to C would solve a lot of problems.
Otherwise, we're looking at spending 30-35 million on our top 4 wingers alone in the future (Slaf/Laine/Caufield/Demidov), exponentially more than any team in the league. That's without addressing the 1C/2C problem or our shambolic D corps and goaltending + Suzuki already making an additional 7.8.
