Still have McDo too. God what an awful trade. Even if McDonagh’s stock was low at the time why in sweet f*** would we have to add anything for acquiring the worst contract in the league (can’t remember if his or Drury’s was worse).
It seems like a rite of passage for Habs administrations to make at least one monumental f***up in the trade department. First, Roy for whomever/who-cares and a bag of pucks with the Avalanche logo, then McDonagh for Gomez (plus a guy named Michael Busto - how Gainey missed that warning sign I still don't know), and then Sergachev for Drouin, because, well, BargainBin things. Some traditions better remain in the past - looking at you, HuGo o_O

I'm worried we have the wrong people in place to develop his massive talent and potential. GTFO MSL and his cronies, then I'll be excited.
The Russians have already ruined him. Trade him for a bag of pucks lol.

Achievements as a player are meaningless when coaching. Look how Gretzky did.

I think MSL is better at developing then coaching to win. If you think MSL would be a bad choice to develop a high IQ player I’m curious to know who’s your candidate

I’m sure Demidov is worried about a former Art Ross winner developing him.
wtf does that have to do anything? Who cares about your trophies when you played. If it mattered Gretzky would be the greatest coach ever, Tremblay would still be around. I wish they kept Muller here to help run the bench.

I feel like MSL is abit amateur at coaching for demidovs talent, what do you think?

He's amateur for all young talent this year, Slaf and Dach are proof. Cole and Nick are used to his bufoonery , nobody else knows what to do.

Demidov will become a star. I think a cardboard cutout of Bergevin would suffice to maximize his development.

well we felt the same about Slaf, and he's rocking 12 f***ing points and looks setback 4 years. He doesn't even appear to care

Who replaces him?

I'm hoping this billion dollar franchise is always asking this question and has a gameplan for all these scenarions. Rebuilding while watching 2 of your kids regress is not a good thing. If Struble isn't hurt, why is he not playing? He had a solid game, has been really good. Hits, clears the net, couple breakaways.. so you sit him for numbnuts?

I thought slaf was a bad pick immediately and didn't see anything out of him until mid last season. So it certainly wasn't consensus.

Demidov could be the best prospect from his draft.

I felt Slaf needed development. I feel he still needs development and that Slaf has more hours of development ahead than Demidov ever will. Rottenberg could have hurt Slaf more than Demidov.

Struble might have some bumps and bruises that could use some healing, who knows, maybe they wanna showcase numbnuts for a trade, could be a multitude of reasons.

Slafkovsky and Dach need to figure things out, and they probably will. We shouldn't be worried about Slafkovsky. And if Dach doesn't work out it will have been due to injuries, because he was starting to look amaizing before his knee injury.

i get worried when a player just doesn't look interested or engaged, it is very troublesome about their KARAKTER that they praised about.

Not too many better coaching options for us right now, we're beyond limited with the language issue. St-Patrick in a couple seasons.. is that the guy we want? Who are the good options?, I'm not too familiar with existing or upcoming coaches. At least Marty is a genuine good person and seems to care about his players. Would we be better of with Toe-nail Té-rien right now lol, maybe Julien

Talking about development, I’d hire Therrien as Slaf’s full time chaperone only repeating non-stop: “shoot da puck”.

Sitting Pezzetta is the biggest mistake according to some sources............ Darren Dreger.
