Such a Canadiens thing to have the best prospect not in the NHL and he can't play in the WJC because of Putin's senseless murdering of Ukrainians.. and he doesn't get to play the ice time and opportunites he should in the KHL because Putin's little butt buddy is gifted the team to coach as a pet project to keep him busy.

Thank God Demidov is that good he will be a superstar regardless of the BS he has to put up with this year

I wonder if he’ll get any games with the Habs near the end of this season. The Russians finish earlier but I guess it depends on their playoffs.

This year does not matter. Actually, I think it is better that way. When we drafted him I was worried he would either burried in the MHL playing against subpar opposition or worst benched and never playing any game at all. Yes the current situation is more like option 2 but he at least played a bit prior and showed he was not only good at the KHL level but actually very dominant. Now the main worry is him not getting injured and coming hungry to play next season with the Habs. I think he will dominate from day 1 to the NHL.

A frustrating thing about the Flyers and Michkov, is that he’s already migrated to NA playing hockey, away from Rottenberg. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
