The team is full of Gagarin cup winners, former NHLers and masters of their craft. They don't need to trade for anyone.Did SKA trade for someone? The current team is mediocre.
You guys viewed too many spy movies.
And any device Demidov has could be bugged. Better to have the discussion somewhere it can't be monitored.
For the first time in nhl history, a trade will be made between one nhl club and one khl team
Demidov to Montreal
Dvorak to St.Petersburg
If it dont bring emotion to Dvorak, nothing will
I don't get why the Habs front office would want to do business in such a public manner. That isn't their modus operandi.
They had control of Michkov for 3 more years. If they actually wanted him, they would have kept him, played him, and not worried about the contract for at least 2 years. This wasn't even CLOSE to the same contract situation as Demidov. SKA was aware that both players wanted to go to the NHL. Demidov is facing this treatment because he leaves literally months from now. Michkov was shipped off to a bottom feeder before they even thought to cut his ice time. Then they let him out of his contract (that still has TWO YEARS left) to go to the NHL. They don't want him, whereas they're making every possible effort to Demidov, who they clearly DO want. What do you mean the contract situation wasn't the same ? Michkov expressed he wanted to leave and be in the NHL and he made it in the NHL in the same time frame as Demidov is supposed to be in the NHL. It's exactly the same reason and I love how stupid most people look in here.
Poking fun at how obsessed Habs fans are lol

Again, Michkov made it clear he was leaving, despite the contract. He left. No they didnt value any player more, they're scumbags and trying to make Demidov look better than Michkov to feel better about passing on him is so cringe. They had control of Michkov for 3 more years. You can sugarcoat it, justify it, wrap it up however you want, the fact remains SKA clearly valued one over the other.

I don't need to try to make Demidov look better, he so clearly is. SKA clearly agrees, and any rational person can see that, as well as their reasons why As for passing on Michkov, it may have been a bad call, but it's going to take far more than 16 months to determine that.Again, Michkov made it clear he was leaving, despite the contract. that's pretty cool of him to post actually
Yeah Ill peep about San Jose picking Will Smith any day of the week but this isn't about Will Smith or passing on Michkov right, its about people looking stupid for the opionions they had earlier in the year. Im just a receipt printer. And acting like Montreal is the only team in the world that passed on him is more cringe.
Will Smith looks atrocious and no one would ever say that he was a better offensive prospect than Michkov and has the same warts defensively.
Yet not a peep about San Jose.
Clearly teams did not get the memo that Michkov could get over early, and watching Demidov play for one year with SKA, I'd have massive concerns if he had two MORE.

Yikes manI don't need to try to make Demidov look better, he so clearly is. SKA clearly agrees, and any rational person can see that, as well as their reasons why As for passing on Michkov, it may have been a bad call, but it's going to take far more than 16 months to determine that.
I don't partake in character assassination of a young 18 years old man because I need to cope. I have made plenty of bad calls, that's not what this is about. It's about poor character and just overall being low-level fans. Were not Sens fans or Leafs fans, acting like this should be frowned upon. You're not, if you printed receipts you'd print your own and realize that we all make our fair share of good and bad reads.
No one disputed Michkovs talent. Once Carlsson and Fantilli were gone, there was no direct competition for Michkov on a talent level. So 3 organizations making the decision to pass means that there were other factors at play.
The factors as we go further along point to not wanting a top 6 pick developing in SKA for 3 years; and only Philly learning about his ability to get out of that contract early.
As more information comes out, are we not allowed to change how we view the situation? Or do we all have to get stuck with the calls we make, with the information we had at the time?
