Goaltending a major issue in San Diego. Send dostal down on off-nights? He could use more shots against.
Just a shame about Suchanek. He seemed to always give the team a chance to win.
Gulls down 6-2. Would love to pick the brain of our pro scouts.

This is what happens when you don't have a Dostal in your net. Ofc, there's Dostal-lite in Suchanek, but he's on IR for the season.
Shouldn't need elite goaltending to just have a shot to win every game. This franchise is broken.

At the moment, Colangelo leads all rookies in goals. Has 5 in 8. Wonder if we maybe gifted the wrong college player a lineup spot.

Probably hard to convince players to come play for a system that kills offensive creativity and gets outshot by double every other night.

I have followed Siderov since 22-23. I went to saskatoon in September of 2022 and kept up with the team that year.

Brindley was taken right after. Waiting for how he looks this season, seems injured, but he already debuted in the NHL and has impressed me every time I saw him. He's small, which is probably why we did not take him, but he's relentless and actually hard to play against, it seems
We were told that we were going to see the "real" Nathan Gaucher now that he is healthy...one secondary assist in 9 games. Ugh.

Pastujov's last 3 games in the ECHL (Tulsa Oilers): 3g + 2a = 5 pts and a -3 rating. That -3 rating came in a 6-2 shellacking of Tulsa and there were a lot of -3 ratings for the Oilers; a total of -25 rating for the team in that game. Pasta is a PP machine for the last 3 games where he notched 2 PP goals and 2 PP assists.

There is still time, i think they both added a lot of mass in the offseason so I could understand them needing to get going. But we all know this is not looking promising so far. Many NHL talent taken soon after those picks
