The first one is always free...It’s free…
It's free for everyone. You just won't get to see the games if you're not in the local market.I thought it was only free for SoCal/hawaii residents. But glad I’m wrong!
Damn, sigh! It's free for everyone. You just won't get to see the games if you're not in the local market.
I have a tough time seeing Leason as a lock.We are almost a eeek from training camp and with today’s PTOs our roster and the competition for the remaining spots are beginning to come into form.
I see 11 locks at forward: Zegras, McTavish, Carlsson, Terry, Strome, Killorn, Vatrano, Gauthier, Lundestrom, Leason, and Fabbri.
Leaving the following players competing for 2-3 spots: McGinn, Johnston, Harkins, Meyer, Katchouk, Nesterenko, Regenda, Colangelo, and Sennecke.
I think we have 6 locks at D: Fowler, Mintyukov, Gudas, Lacombe, Vaakanainen, and Dumoulin, with it being very likely that Zellweger is on the team as well.
So only 1-2 spots open for Luneau, Lindstrom, Pysyk, and Helleson
We already have a ton of fringe forwards competing for a limited number of roster spots, why add a 36 year old to that mix?I'm curious of clutterbuck. He's still un signed. He's old but wonder if he has anything left.
Experience, one less guy to worry about developing and adds a style we don't really have? If he's washed then pass. Imo, we're developing too many players at once. One less player to worry about I guess. Not saying we should, just a thought. I'm not enamored with Leason and if we got an established upgrade I'd do it. Clutterbuck might not be though. We already have a ton of fringe forwards competing for a limited number of roster spots, why add a 36 year old to that mix?
If even Lou Lamoriello doesn’t want him anymore, then I have to assume he’s super washed.Experience, one less guy to worry about developing and adds a style we don't really have? Possible. They're at the cap too so it may be part of the issue too.If even Lou Lamoriello doesn’t want him anymore, then I have to assume he’s super washed.
Do you guys want a separate thread for Training camp/Preseason, which first full skate should be later this week?
Yes please

With the chemistry Vatrano, MacTavish and Strome showed last year, I don't know why more people don't have them together in line ups.Fabri can put the puck in the net.. Z has to find him.. Strome on the other hand.. LOL

So it would seem based on the roster posts. Though it's not like any of the lines were any good defensively. I really do think Z is better at center so I'm not a big fan of those proposed lines for camp.Mainly because they were awful defensively and after the first couple months stopped producing too. Seems like it will be Z-McT-Terry to start camp.
They produced offense, but they gave up way more defensively. They might be an entertaining line, but I wouldn’t call them effective. With the chemistry Vatrano, MacTavish and Strome showed last year, I don't know why more people don't have them together in line ups.
It's camp, and it's the start of camp - it's a time for experimentation. I'd be surprised ion any of these combinations last through opening night. So it would seem based on the roster posts.
