No I didn't, nor did I say York was a first pair D-man.
You must be an IT guy, reading is not your strong suit.
I'm gonna be real, I didn't see you say a single negative thing about Fletcher until he was fired. The last people on the ship were Chuck Fletcher himself, what ever Fletcher Jrs and Chuckettes are out there, and yourself.

Sometimes I wonder why some of you guys post here, you’re so negative that it feels like you guys want the team to fail. Hey, we all realize the Flyers are a f***ing joke and from the top down it’s a joke, but at least we can collectively be positive here at minimum, some people, every single damn post is nonsense negativity, do better, Jesus. Most of us have been Flyers fans for 20+ years, I’ve never seen a cup and probably never will but I try to be positive and objective at the same time. I see it as all we have is each other let’s try to be a tad more positive you guys are the only people I have to talk Flyers hockey to, no one in Japan gives two f***s about hockey. We have a potential generational talent in Michkov, don’t forget the Penguins almost sold the team and left Pittsburgh before Crosby came ( I’m not saying that he’s Crosby ), I’m saying there’s always dark times before there’s light and for once in a long time I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, with Michkov I believe.

I, too, hate when people come to a public space and don't behave exactly how I want them to. Society should do better to abide by whims.

If this is directed towards me, I’ll answer. Yeah but we’re quite a niche community where we all like the same team. Don’t you think we can make this place objective without making it a loathing landfill? I didn’t ask people to behave exactly how I wanted, you’re way off bro lol, weird comment.

The positive police just got a new constable
Live in your self-loathing world if you choose, up to you bud. You’ll be right there on the bandwagon saying you always believed if Michkov turns the franchise around. Lmao, I never said they’re perfect, I even said it’s a dumpster fire; but there are reasons to be positive and some of you are some consumed by loathing it’s insane.

You spent years completely shitting on the notion that playing on a first pair, especially on a weak defense like we have, means anything at all. Completely irrelevant! Ghost is a #7 and all that.

Yes, you did defend the Ristolainen trade. Endlessly.

It was the funniest thing. In the trade thread immediately afterwards, he voiced doubts about that trade. For about a day. Several days later, he statrted defending it and never looked back.

Until the authority got fired.

I wonder too.

Was initially excited for Matvei. Now I’m just more pissed.

It’s like Eichel going to Buffalo.

Imagine winning a beautiful vintage car with new paint, only to find the engine block is cracked.

They’ve got potentially prime Kate Upton being trotted out by a management group of caravan gypsies.

I had “hope” when Briere first stepped in. It’s the same old bullshit, and after 20 years of lucking into Giroux - they lucked into Michkov. That’s not some kind of master plan or savvy leadership.

f*** that

I can't speak for others, but the best way for me personally to deal with the shit show that is the Flyers is to dunk on them. It's been so long with the team run so poorly, that if I actually cared and wanted to be positive it would crush me. The current and future outlooks of this team are so bleak that I'd probably stop watching them all together if I actually tried to be positive about them. I can't keep burying my head in the sand, I wish I could but I can't.

Plus, there are still some people who drink the Flyers Kool aid here. Most of us are happy to talk about the positives with the Flyers like Michkov, but reading posts dedicated to turd polishing every thing this franchise does gets old quick. Especially some of the deranged takes defending this team's management.

A lot of posters here haven't seen the team win (me included) and would like to see the team take the necessary steps to finally start building towards that goal. They deserve to be ridiculed because their words and actions are complete opposites when it comes to building a legit cup contender.

They aren't building one, they're taking the steps necessary to keep the cash flow coming, aiming to keep the team in it until the last week of the season or get in as a bubble team and get bounced in the first round. At the cost of building towards a winning goal.

Honestly if they won in 2010, I'd consider it a life goal accomplished of seeing the team win and wouldn't care as much about the tire spinning of the last decade. And maybe that's why they go this route, cause the fans they're pandering to have already seen them win, so as long as they show them they can stay in it all season long the money will keep flowing in.

Nothing self loathing with accepting reality, which is always a positive behavior actually. That's why I'm the most positive poster here.

Okay, I can agree the organization is a dumpster fire and guess what? Comcast isn’t selling anytime soon we’re f***ed. We do have Michkov a piece few teams get every 5-7 years to build around a true special talent, I’m saying let’s try to live in the suck together and be more positive than constant negative about everything. Yeah a lot of things suck but we do have a younger team that is coming up, we can’t change the bullshit just behave differently. Management ain’t gonna change, the team it is what it is As it stands and I’d prefer to have constructive convos then nonstop cry babies ?

Do we know which of drysdale or York will be on pp1?
Drysdale is the pp1 D

If you say so, you also post positive stuff though, I like your posts 90% of the time. Idk what you mean you don’t spew nonsense and cry

I'd say there's always Reddit as a palate cleanse of relentless positivity, but they also spend a bizarre amount of time whining about Gauthier. The Michkov era is here, who gives a shit about CG. I cannot figure out that particular obsession

This team is set b/c the prospects aren't ready to play.
Luchanko and Bonk should go back to CHL, Barkey after mono has to, Sotheran, etc.
Guys like Bump are still in college.

Attard could push Risto, but Risto is an above 3RHD with a big contract they have to move, so that's a no brainer.

Abols, Rizzo have to outplay Laughton at 3C, while not a huge barrier, neither has yet to show they're NHL caliber.

Lycksell may make the team depending on the last roster spot. Deslauriers was the 13th forward by the end of the season, but 2 years left on his deal. Lycksell is the most NHL ready of the AHL players, his skating is the only thing holding him back. And Eklind is coming off a strong SHL showing, is much bigger (6-4 220) and only a year older.

Andrae has to beat out Zamula, who just got a 2 year deal, Seeler is their best defensive defenseman and paired with Drysdale, their worst defensive defenseman. Ginning is a scrub, could still on some NHL teams but if you lost him on waivers, meh.

Tuomaala, Desnoyers, Rizzo, Avon, Gendron, McDonald, could all use a season in the AHL to raise their game.

So there really is no conspiracy to hold prospects back, they extended Seeler and Hathaway b/c they're solid veterans who have no viable short-run replacements in the system.

Tippett - Frost - Michkov
Farabee - Couts - TK
Cates - Laughton - Foerster/Brink
??? - Poehling - Hathaway
Deslauriers, ???

York - Sanheim
Seeler - Drysdale
Zamula - Risto
Johnson, ???
Do you rewrite these posts from scratch, dead, or do you just update the names every year?

This was the positive place as recently as the Hextall era. People fell off that particular bandwagon at various times, but at some point it become clear to almost everyone that the problems go so far beyond who the GM is that it’s hard to have any hope.

None of that minimizes what Michkov can be. But for me personally, all I want is trust that the org is on a logical path. I’ll happily watch a rebuild, a growing young team, or a contender and enjoy them in different ways. The point is that following the team isn’t a waiting game for the next instance of them missing the forest for the trees. It is supposed to be fun.
