Gonna guess Del MastroAwesome! I hope it's not for him to sit in the press box
So who do you send back down? It's gotta be between Allan, Crevier, and Del Mastro. Doubt it's Crevier.
Slaggert might be sitting tonight

The dream is dead. Maybe. Who the f*** knows?
Nolan Allan, Chicago Blackhawks: Selected in the first round (No. 32) of the 2021 NHL Draft, Allan is a defensive defenseman, ranking first among rookies at his position with 55 hits and third with 40 blocked shots. He is second among rookie defensemen with eight points (one goal, seven assists), all at even strength, and averages 15:14 of ice time in 39 games. The Hawks don’t have any other active trade negotiations going on at the moment, Davidson said, but March 7 remains a while away.
If they had active negotiations, would Kyle even say as much?Ben Pope's article about the KD presser:
Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson is still preaching patience, but he's 'open' to splashier move this summer
The Hawks ought to be determined to acquire an established, high-end NHL player or two to supplement their youth movement before next season, but Davidson on Monday avoided making any specific commitments to do so.chicago.suntimes.com
But in the absolute worst news of the day:
So Jones to Colorado is dead (for now) FFS. We have to continue to stomach watching him for a little while still.
Yikes.
Seth Jones is going to fall off HARD. If you can move him, you do not hesitate.

please don't go fiddy on us big dog, we can only handle one.FWIW I did 10 simulated mock drafts
Can always trade for Carey price and Shea weber LTIR contractHawks need what like $10 million to hit the projected cap floor next year without any further trades involving anyone signed beyond this season? 10 signed forwards on currently active NHL roster, 3 of which are on ELCs and two of which are essentially ELC (Reichel $1.2 and Slaggert $0.9). Only RFA is Kurashev (see ya). 7 signed defensemen on currenly active roster, two on ELCs with some more ELCs potentially in the mix. Kaiser and Crevier are RFAs. Two signed Goalies plus Soderblom as RFA.
With all those ELCs, it's an interesting question of how the Hawks would even be able to hit the Floor if they traded Jones. There aren't that many spots to plug in overpaid short-term veterans. It's not an "issue" so to speak the following year, once they extend Bedard and others will follow (Nazar, Dach, Allan, Del Mastro, Korchinski are all on the same RFA timetable).

Say it louder for all the people thinking the Hall trade was a way to get goodwill from ‘Rado for a Jones trade at the deadlineBen Pope's article about the KD presser:

Now that’s a guy I’m down for. What if Chicago traded for Barzal?
I would hardly give up anythingWhat if Chicago traded for Barzal?
I've been intrigued by this as well. I googled this so it might not actually be right but I think the punishment for being below the floor is that you have to pay the difference to the league. So I would say they should sign who they want to sign that makes the team better but if it comes to having to give out dumb contracts to get above the floor, I'd rather just pay the penalty and give the ice time to the kids.Hawks need what like $10 million to hit the projected cap floor next year without any further trades involving anyone signed beyond this season? 10 signed forwards on currently active NHL roster, 3 of which are on ELCs and two of which are essentially ELC (Reichel $1.2 and Slaggert $0.9). In theory, that's not bad in this situation and I would be in favor of it but the reality is that it adds to the negative PR where some fans would say they were being cheap.I've been intrigued by this as well.
