yeah seth at 9.5 per for 5 more years isn't being moved, they need to retain on him so his deal is fair value as if he was a ufa this summer signing a 5 year deal (7 per?)

I mean I guess if he's fine playing on the 3rd pairing 2-3 years from now when the kids are ready and not getting any PP time then it would make sense to keep him. His retaining $2.5m really that much worse than having $9.5m locked up for 5 more years though? Especially if he's not being a useful vet out there.
