Add Jones. That’s four in what…five years?
Centers and RHD. You have them or you don’t. And it’s the difference between being Toronto or Edmonton and a winning team.
Burns moved. Jones moved twice. There is likely more. I'm just spitballing. Its less about positions and more about elite players. Kucherov and Kane ran the game just as much as any other players and they were wildly successful.

Kane and Guentzal. Kane big money for two years, he is coming off 1 x 2.75. Give him 2 x 6M. Guentzal 7 x 8M. Kane takes a cheaper extension after his two year deal.

Then bring in some meat and potatoes in Matt Martin, Liam O'Brien, and Brenden Dillon, and add Colin Miller as an RD for the bottom pair

Leaves $13M for arts and crafts

Guentzal-Bedard-Kane....Skill and fun line
Hall-Dickenson-Kurashev...Balanced line
Reichel-Foligno-AA...Balanced line
Martin-Donato-O'Brien...Meat line

Vlasic-Jones
KK-Murphy
Dillon-Miller
Kaiser

Let Levshunov/Demidov play in AHL or Russia. Nazar, and Slaggert play big minutes and are the first call ups in Rockford

Kane is not coming back!

Guentzal is going to get far more than that and team that gtives him that will regret it

And no thanks on those "meat and potatoes" guys

The Kane thing is weird. How often do you see a team legend and sure fire hall of famer, who is still playing somewhat close to his high level of play - and the team he did it all for wants nothing to do with him.

But yeah, Kyle shot down those rumors, so it's not happen unfortunately.

For Musto...

The Athletic ran an article about fixing every teams biggest draft error.

Blackhawks

"In 2012 at No. 18, Andrei Vasilevskiy instead of Teuvo Teravainen. Teravainen has been a solid NHLer ever since the Blackhawks traded him to Carolina, but there’s a difference between solid NHLers and arguably the greatest goaltender of his generation, which is what Vasilevskiy became in Tampa Bay. Honorable mention: In 2020 at 17, they could have had Dawson Mercer instead of Lukas Reichel. It’s still early in the career arcs of both players, but Mercer has settled in almost as an emerging core piece in New Jersey while Reichel is still lingering on the periphery of the Blackhawks’ forward group."

Hawks had Crawford who more than worked out so Vasi is not really a mistake. + TT was important in moments in 2015 cup run/win

Its still too early on Mercer/Reichel and people seem to be ignoring that Mercer was atrocious for Devils this past season regressing in every facet of his game

I agree on both accounts.

Plus Reichel is going for 50 points this year.

I’d go with Jokiharju over Oettinger. Especially when you let Dallas trade up with you to get him.

Doubt the Rangers would agree to this trade, but as Chicago it's a yes. I'd take a look at Kaako too.

Other options I'd look for as trade would be Wahlstrom or Laine (yes he might miss time due to injury). Zegras would be interesting, but after that down-year I don't see a trade both teams would like.

Eklund's rumour chart speculates Hawks have 30%(highest among those interested) oflanding TT in free agency.

TTwasxa 60 points+guy several years with Aho as his center..Aho is an 80-90pintscguy in several years..
Bedard woukd need to go from 60 to 80orv90 points just to get TT upto hos 60 poibts + level ..Asking a huge offebsive improvement for Bedard in year 2 of his ELC.

Other rumors out there in the hockey media are the Hawks possibly targeting 4other potential free agents but other clubs also interested in them...

Man there are a lot of free or low cost players out there.

Cam Atkinson
Jeff Skinner
Patrick Laine
Barclay Goodrow

Obviously a lot more. Easy pickins for the Hawks to field more of an NHL team this year.
