Lafferty fine as a third liner, I would take that minus away. Otherwise spot on!

I think Elias Lindholm is a good candidate to sign at a short term, big money deal. He underperformed big time this past year, and probably cost himself millions of dollars in free agency. Give him a 2yr/18mil deal, and his reason for signing would be, play with Bedard, get his mojo back, and cash in big time at age 31.

Holy hell is that pretty bad.

At some point you have to build talent around your star young players. I hope they are active in free agency and get some legit top 6 help for Bedard and Nazar. Reichel needs a major bounce back season as well.

I was just going to say take on Trouba. The timeline makes sense and the Hawks could use a tough RHD. He might be a POS, but he is a POS for his own team just like Perry was. If NYR is willing to add a cap dump, you take it and run. Hawks need some toughness
