Did Athanasiou get for real injured or was it one of those "I'm too good for this league, I'll bring up an old injury to just chill and get a paycheck" injuries?

Nazar demanding a call up. I'm scared for him coming in to this dumpster fire.

I really feel like we need to see Dach too. 1) because he's been producing, 2) he's been a good soldier, 3) because I think he probably reaching that point where hes gonna get weird about it. 4) He;s better than 1/3 of the players we currently ice.

Fun Fact: Dach has not played a game for the Hawks in his career. And he sees Slaggert, Nazar, Guttman, Korch, Seney, Sanford, EDM, Phillips, Crevier... they all have games. That has to make you a little bitter.

1) Hinostroza signed a 2-way deal with Nashville, he plays for Milwaukee and so the Hawks brass get to see him a lot. He scored an OT winner against the Hogs about a week ago.

2) Athanasiou broke his wrist. He didn't fake an injury. It'd be better for his chances to get called back up and secure an NHL deal for next year to play well down there. He seemed in good enough spirits from what I had seen prior to injury.

3) I imagine the only reason we haven't seen C. Dach up is he was frequently hurt last year, and this year the Hawks forwards have stayed healthy. He, Nazar and Slaggert will all be coming shortly. Nazar is deservedly getting all the buzz, but Dach is playing really well also.

4) No point tonight but a +4 for Arty has to feel really good. Now down to only -2 for the year, with a half PPG. Really not too shabby for a guy who wouldn't even be old enough to play in this League had he gone his original intended route to the CHL Import Draft (but for his nationality ban) and who feels like a criticism magnet on here.

I know this is getting a little ahead but after watching last night's game, I have to feel that Slaggert, Nazar, and Dach would be a better second line than anything the Hawks have attempted to ice as a second line. Maybe it's just driven by Frank but I like how their games compliment each other and the chemistry they seem to have.

I'd love to see Frank up with the big club and sh*t they can certainly use him but keeping him down probably benefits Dach and Slaggert. And why isn't Ludwinski playing? Yeah I know he's not producing but giving up on him after 14 games? And I'd much rather see Marcel out there than Baddock.

This is a little sad to say but I feel that what's going on in Rockford this season is more important that what's going on in Chicago. But Rockford just might be turning into that wagon that we thought they would be.

Nazar, Slaggert, and Dach should come up and replace Smith, Maroon, and Reichel

It's not sad and it was by design. How Rockford's season went was always more important than how Chicago's season went. We want to see the young players there take strides. That's happening. It's good to see.

I agree, he should stop playing.

Honestly an irrelevant stat for anyone playing on the Blackhawks

Every single line on the team is expected to be outscored

The roster is shit, and the coaching is even worse

If you swear by xGF%, then you would think Bedard sucks
lol, but CF% is a tell all stat. Sure Musto. Bedard has sucked, tbh, outside of a few games here and there. And Reichel has outperformed Bedard in CF% since the beginning of November.

It's CF% in conjunction with deployment and QoC. You're missing context if you're only looking at CF%.

XGF is also in conjuction with QoC, and is a more telling stat. No one cares if Reichel is on the ice when they are taking shots from the point or outside the dots.

okay... QoC tells you that Reichel gets the easiest deployment on the team.

He's a sheltered baby.

So is Rockford going to be okay with this coaching shift? Who takes over there?

Reichel, Smith and Maroon have looked so much better together than anyone not named Bedard, Donato and maybe Foligno. Dickinson has been JAG but there's upside. Everyone else has been worse. Musto gonna Musto.

Don't give a f*** what the charts say.
