Vegas has been on a tear so far. I'm rooting for them to make it far in the playoffs. It'll make our trade for Askarov even better.

Vegas is a one line team getting mediocre goaltending. The depth is as bad as anticipated. This team doesn’t have the horses to get far.

Zero interest in taking on Georgiev. Colorado is better off dumping him on waivers/the AHL instead of paying assets for someone to take on his contract.

As for Blackwood/VV I'd want an RHD prospect coming back but Colorado's prospect pool sucks and they don't have one that projects to be an NHL regular.

Yeah, I'm not sure that they can offer much that we want, except for picks, which is likely what it would end up being.

Honestly Saros wasn’t even all that great last season. He has an elite track record but he’s also still a goalie so who the hell knows.

But looks like every season it'll get worse and worse.

It would've been nice to have Hertl here with us though. He'd be perfect centering Smith, a type of player who we don't have right now who's able to hold onto the puck a tiny bit longer so that Smith can learn to use open space. Everything sorta closes in on Smith right now.

I can stomach four more years of Hertl's contract, that's no big deal.

Better to trade a player a year early rather than a year late - EK65 and Hertl for me (EK65 was right on time but some argued we could keep him and trade him whenever in the future.)

He's trash. Habs are playing him 25 minutes a night no matter how many absurd f*** ups he singlehandedly causes.

I don't agree that Hutson is "trash", but he's certainly overexposed

He's a 5'9" 20 year old defenseman who's playing in a hockeymad market that's starved for winning and he's been sold as a savior, he's being set up to fail, the problem is that he's an incredibly talented player but a very incomplete one whose game is a work in progress, he could be great but he's in a very disadvantageous situation right now

It's no shock he's being hyped to hell, Habs fans think Arber Xhekaj is a promising young player and that guy actually sucks, now that a legitimate young talent has arrived on the blueline they're completely blowing their top
