Game could’ve looked so different if Mitch had shot on that early 2 on 1. Instead we fell behind big early and that was that. Another typical Leafs loss against a shit opponent. The more things change eh?

Honestly, Matthew's had one of his worst games I've seen from him in a while. Every play died on his stick and he was a turnover machine.

Feels like the same old Leafs, every year it's the same thing, always some really good stuff followed by some abhorrent stuff, it seems this team from it's core out can never put together elongated stretches of pure dominance. We'll see where they're at later on in the season, but so far so same as far as the team producing the same results no matter how much tinkering is done (defensive partners, gms, coaches, goalies etc).

The boys played like they went immediately to the bar and didnt get in until the sun was coming up. Columbus came out hard, skating and hitting and putting their will on the game and only let up for a few stretches in the second.

Hildeby got very little help but has to have goals 2, 3 and 5, two off the rush with better angles and better positioning on the Monahan goal.

No one on the D-side looked good, Benoit especially had a hard game.

They didn't look 'bad' on offense but it's kind of moot when you spot them 4 goals.

Nicky Bobby at least, the crucial 2nd goal in a 6-2 loss.

It's a long season and there are going to be games like this, move on.

Strange night. Florida got steamrolled by the Wild, Boston losing to Nashville, Dallas losing to Buffalo, Ottawa lighting up Utah. One of those early season nights.

Horrific effort from every player not named Knies. Shows the importance of a good goalie when the team is trying to find its legs. Hildebeast turned into Hildepuppy. He isn’t ready for the big show and if he’s not careful he’ll be surpassed by Akytmov.

It’s all about the response now. Berube has to show something otherwise he really isn’t an improvement on Keefe. Stacking the first line? That was very Keefian.

Btw, get the f*** rid of Holmberg, please.
