Whose giving us two really good relievers for a really bad RF? When I say bad RF I say as in bad hitter he's still a good defensive outfielder.trade George Springer's contract for a pair of overpaid relievers who are still really good. Send the other team prospects you don't care about if necessary. Solves most of the bullpen issues essentially for free.
How do you know if they are or not? There was no way Shatkins was going to pay Soto 700 million when they won’t pay their own guy 300 million. This BS talk about the Jays being a dark horse was a media/leverage play by Boras. We were never in this lol
Yeah, and what team does a move like that even make sense for?Whose giving us two really good relievers for a really bad RF? When I say bad RF I say as in bad hitter he's still a good defensive outfielder.
whoever has a pair of overpaid relievers they don't care about. And would be just as fine overpaying an outfielder instead if he comes with some prospects. Odds are there is a good fit out there somewhere that doesn't cost much at all in the way of prospects.Whose giving us two really good relievers for a really bad RF? Short of taking on Taijuan Walker, there are no relievers that come close to what you think this will do.whoever has a pair of overpaid relievers they don't care about. And would be just as fine overpaying an outfielder instead if he comes with some prospects. Odds are there is a good fit out there somewhere that doesn't cost much at all in the way of prospects.
well then you ruined my strategy and the Jays are going to miss the playoffs again. Hope you are happy with yourself.Short of taking on Taijuan Walker, there are no relievers that come close to what you think this will do.
As of today, Chad Green has the 9th highest reliever salary for 2025 and there's nobody in the top 20 that would actually be a positive for our BP (Walker was in the bullpen because he was pitching so poorly).
I am not trying to ruin your strategy. I despise the payroll situation but have accepted Springer as a sunk cost.well then you ruined my strategy and the Jays are going to miss the playoffs again. Hope you are happy with yourself.
It's a great strategy but you have to have a willing dance partner and I and others just don't believe there is one out there. You find one by all means suggest it. Cheerswell then you ruined my strategy and the Jays are going to miss the playoffs again. Hope you are happy with yourself.
Name one team?whoever has a pair of overpaid relievers they don't care about. And would be just as fine overpaying an outfielder instead if he comes with some prospects. Odds are there is a good fit out there somewhere that doesn't cost much at all in the way of prospects.
Although it seems like a no-brainer that the Jays will ultimately work out a big extension with Vladdy this upcoming year, at least one anonymous general manager does not think so.
In a recent article by MLB insider Jim Bowden of The Athletic, he revealed that one National League GM believes that the Jays will change their mind and actually trade Guerrero as a potential fallout of the free agent market and its happenings. -Eng
Don't know who and/or what to believe, but if the Jays do indeed trade Vladdy, I might need to take a break from the team. I'd have so much resentment towards the ownership group and the two figures running this team who have let this drag out for far too long.
