Maybe people want to vent and voice there frustrations with this team, I see nothing wrong with. No different as some of posters here think everything is just peachy and defend everything as if they are representing the front office. They could be just as passionate as any other member on here. I get it.

Let’s face it we are looking at another rebuild if Vladdy and Bo walk, Berrios will opt out and that is this managements fault. Nobody wants to have to go through that again.
Those people literally don't exist.

I have never seen a market this level of obsessed with a former executive that hasn’t been here going on a decade now. It is just really weird. We can be critical of the current regime without forcing AA into the discussion forever.

I absolutely love AA but that Acuna and Albies deal is such an anomaly and would never happen again.

Get Sasaki
Because there's so little variance in how much teams can spend on him (ranging from about $5 million to $7.5 million, assume he waits until the 2025 international signing period) Sasaki's probably just going to sign wherever he wants to go.

Get Sasaki
If there’s *any* chance….and there’s trades, try to gather as much bonus money as you can….though I don’t have a read on what it’s relative worth is…..get as much as you can to make as big a push as you can.
Teams can trade what….25% of their pool in a transaction?
This guys prolly the biggest jewel of free agency.
Though I don’t know if there’s as much as a snowballs chance in….southern Ontario.

Buncha speculation but no real moves yet.

Honestly Suzuki is a guy i'd be taking a hard look at. Chicago is only dealing him due to the fact the majority of their top prospects are in the outfield so they need to make space. Could be the potentially to buy really low here.

Burnes and Gausman are 2nd and 3rd in the entire league between 2021-2024 in pitching FWAR. That would be a heck of a 1-2 punch.

Not sure about this one - I can think of a couple of posters who used to defend absolutely everything this mgmt group did...including one poster who has now done a 180 on that and has gone from only good vibes to full negative.

Not that that's such a bad thing - balance is good.

Every report out there has indicated that the Dodgers will sign him.

Dodgers or Padres is the rumor.

There was indications from some sources that Sasaki's whole thing is he wants to be the face of a pitching staff and didn't want to be stuck in Ohtani's shadow initially. I don't know how credible it was though to be fair.

I'm one of the most positive posters here, as you know, and I've complained incessantly about dozens of moves they've made. I don't remember anyone defending the Happ trade, or the Morales contract, or last offseason's lack of moves.

I don't think there's a single person here who has been remotely positive about management over the last year let alone someone who "defends everything".

There have been moments of "let's let this play out" like the Morales contract (where we knew he was overpaid, but if he put up the numbers from the year before, it would only be slightly bad).

The problem is that there are moves that are hard to defend for various reasons (like a team with playoff aspirations giving up an arb-eligible top tier closer who they claim is in perfect health).

I also heard Yu Darvish is his mentor and hero. Not sure if that’s true, but might help the Padres case.

See, I would completely flip those. The Morales contract was bad unless he had an out-of-nowhere breakout. Things had to go perfectly for it to even look remotely decent.

I dislike the Romano move - they should have tendered him and either kept him or flipped him somewhere, since at least one team seems to think his arb estimate was fair value - but, considering the year Romano just had, there's a much better chance of this one working out in the Jays favour than there was with Morales.

I don't see any universe where he doesn't at least bring back someone another team was considering non-tendering (like Finnegan)/

With the number of open spots available in the pen, it seems like a great time to take someone in the Rule 5 and let him fight for a spot. They've had some success with that (Biagini) and shown a willingness to be creative about it (Luciano) in the past. I hope they take someone.
Ok old timers.

Jim Gott, Jim Acker
Very successful RPs Jays selected in the rule 5.

Some other Blue Jay selections back when they had a good eye for talent
George Bell, Willie Upshaw, Manny Lee, Kelly Gruber,

He wants warm weather lol so I think that takes TO out of the equation. At least I am pretty sure some reporter (shrill) claims this.

With a lot of things going against the team, will it be difficult for them to sign players without overpaying or offering out clauses?
Lame duck President which also means GM
Depleted farm system
The manager
Playing in Toronto
Unsigned Bo and Vlad
Last years catch phrase was "Internal improvement" when translated = We didn't sign jack sh!t for FA

This years catch phrase is "Management continuity" when translated = Atkins is my puppet so if I fire him I need a new puppet.
