I have hard time imagining him being traded for to play bottom pairing easy minutes.

I don't think he would ever waive to come here anyway, but if he did, I would expect him to play around the same amount he does with New York, but not explicitly against the best competition. Out west would seem to better suit his game as well.

I would have been interested in this deal closer to the deadline when we ship off a couple forwards, but I’m not sure we have space for Tomasino at this moment.

I also don't think it would happen but Kreider is right in the age range where moving from a high-profile to a low-profile environment probably starts to sound kind of nice.
