I have hard time imagining him being traded for to play bottom pairing easy minutes.
I don't think he would ever waive to come here anyway, but if he did, I would expect him to play around the same amount he does with New York, but not explicitly against the best competition. Out west would seem to better suit his game as well.

I also don't think it would happen but Kreider is right in the age range where moving from a high-profile to a low-profile environment probably starts to sound kind of nice.

I'd still be very interested in trouba, but I don't see how they try and move him again after the last fiasco.

His Wife's residency ends in July. After that, she's looking for a job - technically she's very likely interviewing now since doctors plan well ahead for things like that. Lots of medical jobs/practices i California . . . and no doubt our owner's have lots of contacts in that regard.

Eventually the NYR will trade or buyout Trouba. Now is not a bad time for him to pick his new destination.

I'd absolutely entertain that idea. Trouba seems to be due for a change of scenery, and playing off the microscope of a huge market team could well help him get back to his former self.

I would offer Killorn for Trouba, maybe with a slight add from NYR. The interesting thing is that Trouba's contract was frontloaded, so even though he has a higher AAV ($8M vs. $6.25M), going forward the actual cash is higher on Killorn's contract ($6M for Trouba vs. $6.25M for Killorn). So maybe they don't add.

After the ducks make that trade, they dump Domoulin at the deadline or sooner, and Trouba serves that role (bottom pairing RHD) next year.

Neither Kreider nor Trouba are accepting a trade to come here.
I have no idea about Kreider, but as noted above, Trouba needs to start planning for a move that is compatible with his wife's career. The list of teams willing to sign him is pretty limited.

At some point you have to think Andersen is just done. That guy has spent more time on IR the last few years than anybody. If you truly think you're a cup contender, how can you possibly not want Gibson over Andersen? Now maybe a deal can't be worked out, but Gibson has already supposedly asked out and PV has supposedly said he would try to accommodate him if possible. This would seem to be the perfect time to make something happen from the standpoint of both teams.

I'm not sure why they would want to trade Gibson right now. If Dostal falters or gets injured, the next goalie in line is.... Dansk or Clara... I'd rather keep Gibson. The only way would be for the Ducks to receive a serviceable goalie in return. But if a team had that type of goalie, why would they want to pay the price for Gibson? Seems risky when this team is relying almost completely on it's goalies to win games.

Thinking about next season, if Fowler ends up being traded - as per his request - and Dumoulin is either traded/walls, then there are some interesting spots to fill. Assuming Luneau earns/is given a spot next season and Gudas remains, it seems the Ducks will need a RD to play with Minty and a LD to play with Luneau. I don't see LaCombe making it long-term with the team.

Gudas is projecting to being a 3rd pairing guy next season if we want him to play at an optimum. He looks like he is wearing down this season and the season just started.

And that’s fine, luckily we have infinite cap space to upgrade our roster all around. Not to mention, guys like mctavish will be bridged ( where as before we thought he would be getting a bigger longer deal. Money and assets are a plenty to make the proper moves
