So this is what it looks like when a ref ACTUALLY doesn’t like your team

These are the videos in question leading to the investigation.

Coote famously VAR’ed the following games after the Burnley one where we said he was shit that he mentions in video:

- Everton game where Pickford injured Virgil (and called Mane offsides on the winner)

- Man Utd game where Divock Origi was fouled in buildup to their goal. (Game ended 1-1 on late Lallana winner)

- Odegaard’s handball last season

- wasn’t going to call a foul on Bailey during LFC’s first goal yesterday.

He’s done. At the minimum he should never ref LFC game again. Caught in 4k. My thoughts on this guy are well known and yeah I feel a little less crazy today

🤔

Also, :eek2: on the whole affair.

No, we aren't there yet. Deep fakes are good, and they are getting better, but they aren't at that point yet.

Of course, you don't need deep fakes to keep a considerable portion of society misinformed, but that's another discussion.
Considerable portion of society also doesn’t care if they are getting deep faked or not. But let’s not do this here

PGMOL would be right to distance themselves instead of defending him, but we'll see which direction they go.
Will be interesting to see the pundit response. Should be pretty obvious who is getting fed by Howard Webb and who isn't.

“I got hacked”

I am not seeing a problem here? Not liking some blokes on a team doesn't mean he ever purposely sabotaged Liverpool. I suspect all refs in every major sport have people that they hate and like. This is no different. Coote I suggest is one of the better refs, still makes loads of mistakes, but not like Michael Oliver's level of debauchery.

Arsenal is at the bane of corruption compared to any club.

I mean, that pen call was an all time bad VAR intervention. Even WHU homers were surprised by it.
Didn’t PGMOL apologize over it?

Well let me know when you have the video of a ref calling Arteta a Spanish see you next Tuesday. Will just say that I disagree with all of this until then.

This is the bar now.

Oh, there is corruption against all teams from certain refs. I don't disagree with you there by any means. Like a ref who grew up as a ManU fan will have a disdain against LFC. 99.9% of refs are not there because they want to, they all want to be players first and foremost. I don't think biases stop just because they transitioned from being a player to a ref.

However, there is a full-on level of corruption against Arsenal. It is league-wide and goes into the deepest parts of the FA and probably the FBI as well.

Let’s be fair, refs have already told us things we see on video for matches aren’t so. What’s the difference in this?

I get some guys have clubs they support. So they shouldn’t be allowed to officiate those games. Period.

It’s like working for the govt as a civil servant. You should be as apolitical as possible.

This guy should be tossed out. Accident or not, how can you trust him

Honestly A+ post. I didn't figure it out until the very end.

It goes all the way up to Lee Harvey
No, not that much. BUT, there are special agents that can accept side jobs and give advice to certain organisations on how to prevent leakage of said corruption. CIA and FBI give advice to foreign powers all the time, who say they can't do it for an organisation against a sports club as well...
