NHL crew is starting today. Mcg should be playing.
They changed the roster for today after yesterday's game was canceled and they now have games on three straight days in three different cities.
From Haase:
Because of Saturday's travel issues causing that game to be postponed, the Penguins are about to play on three consecutive nights, and five games in six days. It's a lot, and the Penguins have had to adjust their plans for more balance as a result.
"It's more than likely going to impact the game on Tuesday at home, because it's changed a lot," Sullivan said. "We had sketched out some skeleton rosters for all these games, and then the game yesterday gets canceled. Now, all of a sudden, we've got three games in three nights, and we're trying to be selective and do our best to set guys up for success. We might have to have some guys play back-to-back now, for example, which we were trying to avoid, this early in the season. But we'll have to see how that goes. But it's a little bit of a logistical challenge."
The Penguins made an effort to keep the big guns --
Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, Evgeni Malkin still play in the Hockeyville game here tonight. But others, like
Rutger McGroarty, were supposed to play here tonight but instead got moved to other games this week because of the shuffling. Nobody lost opportunities, they just got moved.
