They have three second rounders.
They also have a whole team to build...they need that extra pick more than Buffalo does
I bet SJ is one of the teams that will take a chance on Connelly and fears he wouldn't be there at 14.
Nah now that I think about it I'm sure they want one of the dmen to go with Celebrini.

There are 6 dmen ranked top 10ish.

You can only realistically bring on so many prospects in a single draft.

But my bet is they're moving up to get one of the upper tier defensemen so go along with Celebrini. And they'll still have two second rounders left. Makes sense to me.

I don't get it...Sharks giving up a 2nd rounder to move up 3 spots in such a random draft?
They have a top tier where a drop off happens and are targeting their guy. Additionally, San Jose will likely have too many prospects soon to where they just don't have room for guys.

I think there is a really solid case to be made that Bendar has to change his tactics given the fiscal reality of the team. I'll believe he changes when I see it though.

On Landy, I just can't see it. His whole experience as a full time center was basically during the lockout for a bit and when he was 14/15. Expecting him to be able to pull that off, especially when he's had 2 years away from the game is just asking way, way too much.
Yeah, like I said that would be way too much skating for Landy. While I was rather convinced he should be ready to start training camp on time, the number of people around here saying he won't be playing until later in the year has me even second guessing that.

If we spread things a little:

Drouin (4M) - MacKinnon (12.6M) - O'Connor (1.05M)
Lehkonen (4.5M) - Mittelstadt (5.75M) - Trenin (1M)
Innala (0.87M) - Rantanen (9.25M) - Kovalenko (0.896M)
Wood (2.5M) - Cogliano (1M) - Nichushkin (6.125M)
Landeskog (7M) - Ritchie (0.925M) - Wagner (0.775M)
58.2M

Toews (7.25M) - Makar (9M)
Girard (5M) - Manson (4.5M)
Johnson (1M) - Malinski (0.85M)
Middleton (0.775M)
28.4M

Georgiev (3.4M)
Annunen (0.837M)
4.2

24 players / 90.8M

5 million in cap space without Landy or Niche. Maybe Colton doesn´t have to be traded.
