If its tied to a PHI-OTT deal that involves OTT moving down its probably something like this

BOS:
Chychrun
BOS 1st (25th)
Extra Pick from PHI

OTT:
PHI 1st (12th)
Ullmark (Extended?)

PHI:
OTT 1st (7th)
Korpisalo or Forsberg
Something from OTT for taking salary

I don't want Chychrun as a one year rental, and I really don't want him locked in for an 8 year 64+ million extension.so I hate the deal unless they are flipping him

As a Sens fan, I suspect the Ottawa/Philly rumor is unrelated to the Ottawa/Ullmark rumor.

From what I've surmised, based on reports, Ottawa really likes Iginla and Philadelphia really likes Dickinson. But Iginla may very well be picked before 7. So I'm guessing it's a "if the guy we like is gone but the guy you like is there, we'll swap you 7 for 12 and a couple other assets".

I'd think the Ullmark offer is your original 1st + Forsberg + a prospect, but I have my doubts that he's going to waive for the Senators.

Alfie being a "fellow Swede" only goes so far.

Sweeney should be tar and feathered for giving up a pick for Chicken Run, hell even any trade for Chicken Run! Lol

I like Konecny but his playoff resume while brief, is very underwhelming. He has 1 goal in 22 playoff games.
On crap teams with crap support. He was the Flyers best player last year.

I personally think he'd give us more than DeBrusk and if we moved Ullmark and added him we could let DeBrusk walk, get a true top center like Lindholm and still have money for a Bertuzzi or other add(s).

To get better by moving them for proven talent. You don't know what either one will turn into but you know what Pinto is. I like both of them and think they will be good players, would much rather move Lysell and/or Merkulov.
Yeah I dunno if it's just me but I see Poitras as having a noticeably higher ceiling than Pinto. He shown me a lot vs Pinto who just finally surpassed a 50 point pace at age 23 in an abbreviated season. His age 22 year was roughly similar to what Poitras was doing as a 19 year old. I wouldn't even consider moving Poitras for Pinto, would take a real elite talent for me to move him in a deal. Same with Lohrei. Chychrun is good but had a down year while Lohrei looked like our best defenseman for much of the playoffs. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather just hold onto our kids and let them grow.

Would be amazing to have a three way deal with flyers and sens. I keep coming for updates. I do feel chychrun is the target.
Sorry Don I hope not. We are strong on that side. Lohrei is solid. I don’t want him playing on the 3rd pair. Also way to much cap space on the D with JC.

The reality for me is we need the best Centre available.

Maybe something like Ottawa sends their 7th pick & Chychrun to Philly for their 12th pick, 2nd rounder & Couturier. Then Ottawa sends Couturier & their Boston’s former 1st rounder to Boston for Ullmark. Philly wants to get younger and Couturier is 31, but Boston doesn’t care cause when healthy he’s like Bergeron, so worth the risk. Philly also has no defensemen (Chychrun) and they get their man by moving up in the draft. Ottawa meanwhile gets rid of Chychrun, gets a goalie and kinda recoups the Boston pick by getting Philly’s 2nd rounder.

I was thinking 32 and Chychrun for Ullmark, which still seems like an overpayment, but the Bruins get two things they covet.... not sure what the Bruins would add to balance the scales.

Im dont think its an overpayment If the Sens know that Chychrun has soured on Ottawa and he won't resign. Maybe they really feel they're a goaltender away from contending; if they want to pluck one of the best goalies in the division from a team they want to leap frog, that should come at cost.

I just hope Sweeney doesn't get greedy and end up odd man out as the other team goes to plan B.

Wish we knew which teams Ullmark can be traded to.

Dom said in his podcast that Ullmark has Ottawa on his no trade so at least we know that.

Trying to make sense out of the talk that a possible Flyers/Ottawa trade is the holdup. Both teams have two goalies signed on the main roster for at least the upcoming season. Ottawa has to get rid of one if they want to add Ullmark. I dont see the flyers taking one so this probably means Boston has to take one back. Is it possible that managments thinks that Bussi is to unproven to start the season? If yes, its possible that they take on for Forsberg for a year. The negative is that they would only save about 2.5 million on the cap by trading Ullmark or Ottawa retains on Forsberg and you save 3.75 million.

About that part from the Flyers that Boston would get via Ottawa. Do we talk about a center here? If yes, Morgan Frost would made sense in a lot of ways. If not, I only see them giving up picks.

I dont think Boston goes for Chychrun. Lindholm, Lohrei and Chychrun would to similar in their way of playing the game.

The trade I could see happen:

Ullmark + a 3rd round pick 25' for Forsberg, 1st round pick Boston 24' and Morgan Frost
