My feeling on Landy at this point is he will come in for 1-2 rounds of the playoffs if the Avs get deep, go full Swedish beast mode, and LITRetire.

If Landy ever gets that knee fixed and stabilized and can skate without issues, he will get his game back quickly when he returns. He was never a fast skater like MacK, so as long as that knee holds up, his skating game should be fine. His hands will be the same, net front presence etc….that’s not going anywhere. He just needs that knee to hold up

He's also as elite of an athlete as it gets. Foppa looked legit every time he touched the ice when trying to return. I think Landeskog has very high standards for himself.

I agree, if the knee holds up he'll be able to do what made him valuable on and off the ice.

Yeah, if someone like Nate or Cale had that knee surgery, you would worry about how their game be like when they came back because a lot of their success is based on their skating, but not for Landy

I wouldn't worry about Nate either really. Nuke said seeing how hard Mack works made him completely reevaluate his own training, and attributed that lesson to his own improvement.

Not gonna happen obviously, but could you imagine if all 4 of these guys came back the exact same game?

It does feel like there's a chance all 3 of Wood/Drouin/Nuke return by Friday though. Although quite frankly I'm not convinced Wood is an upgrade at this point. I guess maybe over Tynan/Wagner he would be but at the same time Drouin/Nuke would take those two out. I'd honestly rather Prisch/Ivan over Wood at this stage.
