The Makar play looked innocent enough. Probably some muscle pull amd encouraging that he tried to give it go in the 3rd. I'd be more concerned if it was injury caused by direct force (ie. falling and landing on something). Get better soon Cale!

Also I'll never prove it but there's got to be a correlation between having an enforcer "police man" and team injuries.

If Makar is out for any period of time, our only real method of producing goals, the powerplay, is going to take a big hit.

We know it will be Toews as the anchor and he won’t offer nearly as much movement along the line for the reverse pass on puck retrievals or of course the shooting threat. Toews doesn’t shoot and teams will be cheating towards MacK and Rants a ton more. It’s an easy PK adjustment.

Which would suck. Malinski should be the obvious replacement on the PP.

I think Malinski is garbage but he's the obvious choice for the powerplay.

Once again, Landeskog is my last concern at the moment... (although something tells me this is not going according to plan)

1) Makar. FFS.....
2) We need bodies back.. Bodies that usually play in our top 6. Drouin should be close... Oh, and the russian guy: I fully expect this guy to ran havoc and play like an MVP after all what happened.
3) We still need a starter in net.....

And we are not even 15 games into the season.....

Do people not realize that Landy's LTIR is pretty much already at play? The Avs are currently around 81-82m in cap hit on a daily basis (meaning that with Landy they are already over). It moves a bit here or there, but generally around that realm. When Nuke comes back, his daily rate gets added right back to it. So the Avs daily rate will be right back against the cap. Now there was some savings from the beginning of the season until now, but that has been limited since the Avs have carried 3G and having to utilize more players without utilizing LTIR and just standard IR. This is where Poolman's LTIR has come in. He's kept them from overages and allowed movement, but very little accrual even sans Nuke. When Nuke comes back, Landy's LTIR is in play from that point forward to keep the team cap compliant.
