Nice finish in OT for the US. Luke "Stinky McLousy D" is the worst player in the defensive zone to ever lace up skates.

That was a bad unstructured games from most of the teams I saw that played against USA, not structured game from USA too. Run and gun. I`m not a fan, I love more defensive hockey. But I like how well Hughes feel himself in offensive hockey. Of course he should work on defensive side of the game. But I believe big part of his problems will fade when he will start to play on the left side and will cover the puck by the stick.

I can only imagine how physically/mentally drained he might be, especially with how close Sweden was to advancing yesterday.

Overall, good tournament from Luke. Kid will no doubt have to work on his defensive game, but his offense is as good as it gets, sky is the limit.

He could easily have over 10 points this tournament. Hit at least 2 posts, set up some great chances that haven’t been converted. One of the best offensively gifted prospects we’ve seen on the back end for quite some time.

Future is bright for our blue line with Hughes and Nemec people. Very, very bright.
