Switzerland loses in a shootout. A shame Mesar made that horrible play that led to the Nemec's penalty, would've loved to see him in the SO.

Simon had an OK game today, got better as the game went on. He played 27:06, leading the Slovaks by over 3 minutes.

He's at 4 points (1G, 3A) in 4 games so far. Very nice tournament by him. Wild to think he's still eligible next year.

I say it a lot, but super exciting to have him and Luke in the pipeline. 2 of the 5 (arguably top 3) best D-man prospects in the league. Future is bright fellas!

Overall not a good game from Nemec. Didn’t make anything much happen and had some poor mistakes and breakdowns.

Also think he has another gear or two. Looks like he’s almost coasting a bit compared to what I’ve seen from him in the past including in the world juniors last year.

Ok/Mid games happen to even the best pros. Overall, I’ve been very happy with Simon this tournament as an 18-year playing over 26 minutes daily and at a PPG clip (with an perfectly average to below average offensive supporting cast around him). Super poised, good instincts. We have a good one here guys.

Hughes vs Vilen at 4PM! That should be a good one.
