Part of why this team is so frustrating to watch offensively is because they take so many bad hittable mistake pitches for strikes and swing at absolute garbage on the edges.

The number of times they bail out a struggling pitcher is astonishing.

It’s like they’re in their own heads.

Fire the hitting coach already.

He was ass in May too. It was pretty much just April (and the like 1 or 2 games that happened in March), crappy May/June, better July, godawful August.
How’s the 3B trade/free agent market looking this offseason?

I find Chapman the worst at that. Will watch a pitches go then will swing at a slider down and away.

Not great, IIRC. Which is why even with his mostly trash season Chapman's still highly likely to get a dump truck full of money.

According to MLB Trade Rumors the highlights of the class are:

Chapman
Jeimer Candelario
Eduardo Escobar (has a club option for 2024)
Max Muncy (club option)
Justin Turner (player option)
Gio Urshela
Joey Wendle

And some burnouts like Donaldson, Longoria, and Moustakas.

Sign Candelario to a rich one year deal with options. I’d also take a chance on Urshela.

Yeah, not going to watch the rest of this. Hoping for a miracle comeback when I wake up tomorrow.
