has there been a massive career implosion in recent memory that's worse than Christian Yelich? He came into the league, was good to great, had 2 MVP caliber years and then immediately fell off the cliff to be barely a replacement/bench/mediocre starter level player.
Cody Bellinger was worse. MVP level player to straight up unplayable until he un****ed things in Chicago (at least for the moment)

I still say Yelich's prime was ended by that knee injury. His bat slowed down significantly in the years after it.

Brutal play in right there. Baseball gods need to punish that a little further with a crappy single to bring in the second run but at least it's one.

Seriously, whoever's in charge of greenlighting the Jays' challenges needs to be replaced. What are they even doing here?
Yeah that's a bad case for a challenge. its so close that you're never gonna get an overturn.

Got a leadoff double in the 9th, and can't do f**k all with it. No long ball in this team to tie things up with one swing.

Yeah, all the other teams that have hit off Williams this year. Should have been easy. The problem is not being able to hit Julio Teheran, that’s sad
Well that too. but the absence of the home run is seriously degraded this team's offense. they are getting hits, they are getting on base, but just lack the guaranteed scoring ability of the home run. they ground into dp's, make base running mistakes, all of those things that the home run "fixes".

What's their win percentage on them? Must be single digits. They keep challenging stuff you don't even need a replay for it was so obvious. It's insane

Might have to send him down to figure it out. Obviously wearing on him mentally.

We don't have anyone to replace him but he needs to go down just to build up his confidence. Hopefully, he'll have the same results Roy did when he came back. He can't get through five innings so it's not we even need a starter to balance him out. A long man can contribute as much as him at this point and possibly with better results. Was also thinking maybe they give him a starter for a few starts. Let him come into the second inning. You need to try somethign

Doesn't matter to me where they send him as the coaching and environment are most important. It has to be done. Bullpen day the 5th spot if need be.
