Bassitt's too much of a gamer to just not pitch even with the wife in labor.

I could see a scenario where he opens, pitches a couple innings then dips. Surely there has to be flight considerations where he has to be out and on the plane by a certain time.

Or he pitches so fast to the point SummoningSalt has to make a video on it. Either/or

Vladdy hammered that but it hit Verlander on the leg and got thrown out. That was a good swing and if he can keep hitting the ball like that then he will get positive results.
 
Vladdy stays getting perpetually hoe'd.

Injury, hard hit ball bouncing off pitchers, just not finding holes. Just can't catch a break.

They don't have a reliable 6th arm to start.

Mitch White sucked up here last year and currently is spending his time getting blasted in AAA. He would likely be the next man up.

Bowden Francis would be the other option. He's recently turned a corner after finding his fastball in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

Outside of that they've got nothing.

Yea, I thought so. Would have been nice to have one when we have 17 games in a row sometimes. You just skip him when you have an off day.

Is Varsho ever going to get a clutch hit? Men on first and second and Belt and Chapman can’t even make contact on 100+ pitch Verlander. This offence is so putrid with runners in scoring position
