I saw someone here post about Biggio getting sent down yesterday, and I can't figure it out. He was on the bench last night and is again tonight. What am I missing? At this point saying Belt sucks is like saying the sky is blue. We f***ing know. Not like we can do anything about it.
He's striking out in essentially half his ABs but we don't control the lineup. At the same time it's such a trivial thing to get pissy about because ultimately he's on a one year contract and can easily be benched when the Jays decide is enough is enough.
Same with Biggio. He is what he is and him getting sent down is probably the beginning of the end.
It's the fact you continually f***ing harp on it like you somehow know better than everyone else and then get pissy when people point how much of a dipshit you are.
I think a better example of this (since while it is a small sample size for Belt he also wasn't good last season) is him riding SpringerI saw someone here post about Biggio getting sent down yesterday, and I can't figure it out. If anything, with both Belt and Biggio (and Espinal and Jansen and others), shaner's opinions represents a fundamental misunderstanding of the game of baseball. He has no concept of sample size because he can't see beyond whatever he experienced most recently. Whenever someone slumps, that's just who he is now. Now and then it turns out that player actually is washed up or whatever, and then he'll brag forever about how he knew it all along. But 90% of the time the player will bounce back to meet expectations and then he'll pretend he never said anything.
Good point, though Belt was a league average hitter last year, so nowhere near this year's struggles. I also kind of get it with Belt because I don't get the impression he knew a thing about him before the Jays signed him.I think a better example of this (since while it is a small sample size for Belt he also wasn't good last season) is him riding Springer
"Springer is washed, springer is horrible, springer needs to be moved down"
Springer has appeared in only 29 games. He also hasn't been good but his career .843 OPS and 130 OPS+ suggests this is just an ugly start and even his savant page shows more good than bad.
I'd love to see his opinion on Nolan Arenado if he were on this team. Another guy mired in probably the ugliest stretch of his career but there's no one i've seen suggest he's suddenly washed/trash. And his savant page is way, waaaaaay uglier than Georgie boy.
Very unfortunate. I was liking his stuffMight not be a bad idea to pull Manoah.
He can say he's good all he wants but the quality of his pitching took a massive dive after getting hit.
Absolutely concerned. It's been a terrible month for him, and there appears to not be any injury behind it.Take away the first game of the season
Springer is hitting .169
Concerned?
Seems like the Jays defense too.Did the Red Sox...basically entire defense attend clown college?
