He's not going to break the bank as a free agent given that this offensive season looks like a MASSIVE outlier for him. I could see there being a case to be made for signing him to a 3 year deal that's not going to break the bank. I doubt he gets like $20m/season or anything crazy like that.

I don't think this is a Chapman situation where there's almost no way the team can afford to pay what he'll get on the market.

It doesn’t change the fact that Daulton is a future utility player. He cannot hit high fastballs and every team knows it so they’re just blowing him away with high heat. Until he learns to hit a belt high fastball he’s going to be a ultility player. End of story.
