Which leads us back to my earlier comment…Schneider is a dreadful major league manager. I don’t care if he came up with the young players on our team. Besides Bichette’s offence (cause he sucks at shortstop) and Guerrero (hasn’t played the last 2 years as a superstar), what has Schneider done that warrants him being a major league manager?

No, you've been bashed for being an asshole about ripping on the team. And for saying a bunch of stuff that is patently untrue or contrary to common sense. You've also been bashed for displaying a staggering lack of self-awareness, as evidenced by the fact that the first thing you do in the quoted post is make yourself out to be a martyr as if you have played no part in your pariah status in these threads. You've also been bashed for the fact that you have been told these things repeatedly and yet refuse to learn from it while still pretending that you're just a victim of the evil majority silencing your "truth".

If not for the fact that the age of your account precludes it, I would swear you were a moody, angsty teenager.

No Manager is signing less than 3 years so you cannot have a go a Management for that. They are not firing him in year 1... They need to figure out a plan for the last 4 months mind you as the first two have been really poor. What trades they might make, what roles they may change and who may get promoted/demoted.... some big big decisions to get the ship turned around and back in the race.

Vladdy isn’t the superstar everyone thinks he is. He’s extremely overrated
Bo is a great hitter who is abysmal in the field
Chapman can’t hit (he had 1 good month) and he’s made so many errors already.
Springer is hitting .230 with 1 double all year
Varsho is f***ing garbage…… but but metrics. f*** the metrics he’s garbage
Jansen can’t even hit .200.
Kirk is a slob
Espinal lol
Biggio lol
Belt garbage but been better of late
Kk is awesome

Monarch is a f***ing disaster
Gausman is sick
Bassitt is sick
Berrios has been shit for years
Kikuchi was the worst pitcher in baseball last yr

Bullpen? Lol. We haven’t had one in a decade

Record wise they’re about where expected around the 50 game mark. Any 50 or 60 game stretch above 500 is good for this group.

What were you expecting?

They got rid of the clowns, so there’s that. Pitching wasn’t great last year and they didn’t really fix it in the off season.

There are many holes on the team, but they’re above 500 and will be worth watching when the playoffs are over.

Going into the season there are people that said they could be sellers at TDL.

They didn’t last year and they didn’t improve. I think they may have hoped the Yankees and TB would take a step back, I don’t know.

Rogers Sportsnet really hypes the team, which is expected, but take them with a grain of salt.

I still maintain that keeping Kirk was not good for the long term. His value was at an all time high last year at the deadline, when he was an all star.

His body type (and i'm not fat shaming), is not good long term for a catcher. He's already catching on one knee.

Trading Moreno I think will be a long term loss for the Jays, as I don't see Kirk being a long term catcher for this (or any other team). I think he will break down faster than the average catcher.

The Gurriel + Moreno for Varsho disaster.

so they got better defensively. Big deal. They just lost 100 RBIs from their offence.

Varsho is a 4th outfielder at best and defensive replacement. He’s not an everyday player. His father was a utility guy.

Atkins should be fired for this one.

Are they serious about pushing fat acceptance for professional athletes? Wtf.

if that’s the case sign my fat ass to a contract.

how about finding a real GM who can make trades… and address obvious weaknesses like the bullpen.

I fully expect Gausman to get hosed by his bats again with the way this week has gone.

You do know that the 1-knee catching stance has nothing to do with Kirk's weight/frame and is a tactical decision that a lot of catchers around the league are in on, right? It's been one of Buck's weird little berserk/annoyance buttons for several years now because it's a new-school thing that wasn't done in his day. This shouldn't be news.

Blitzkrug is right. The team struggles a bit and we get some bafflingly ridiculous/uninformed takes.

I just notice that Dan & Buck aren't doing that stupid "that's what buds do" advert copy when Chapman hit the HR. There is the pop up graphic but that's far less intrusive than the clumsy scripted call.
