One thing I am certain of. Since the twins haven't won a playoff game in a million years as is custom with teams I am a fan of that streak will end.
Unfortunately this is true. Especially if you’re a Toronto sports fan. Lol.

I got Jays sweeping. I think this team realizes it’s go time now. They got embarrassed last year and choked like no one has choked before. Gausman will be lights out, the bats wake up, and we sweep

It’s a series and not one game like last year?
It was 2 games last year, we lost game 1 and then choked away a 8 run lead and lost game 2

I got Bassit going game 2

no it was 2 games last year to, we lost both to Seattle, lost game 1, and lost game 2
There you go, eh. I typically go on on a vacation around this time of year and don’t even remember that. Heading out again on Wednesday for 10 days.

I haven’t followed MLB playoffs since the 90s and when I tried watching in 2015 they were on the new Fox Sports channel that DirecTV didn’t have available yet.

Eta - and what happened to playing Tampa? They couldn’t find a more boring team than Minny?

T.O.
We lucked out with the most favorable matchup under the circumstances. That being said, I can't get overly confident in this group because of our collective inconsistency at the plate this season, and because this core has yet to win a single game in the post season.

I hope they change the script starting tomorrow.

Hockey's Mecca

My guess is Horwitz is back for Bassitt as a PH option option off the bench vs RHP, and Bowden Francis replaces Parsons.

RF Springer
DH Belt
1B Vlad
SS Bo
2B Biggio
C Kirk
CF Kiermaier
3B Chapman
LF Varsho

Heineman, Horwitz, Schneider, Whit, Clement/Espinal, and Eden as the 6 bench guys

3 Starters are Gausman, Kikuchi and Ryu/Berrios

Other 9 pitchers:
Romano
Hicks
Swanson
Mayza
Green
Yimi
Richards
Francis
Berrios/Ryu (injury insurance)

I don't think there's any chance Bassitt gets left off the roster.

You can only have 5 bench position players if they are going 14 and 12

Dude no offense but what is this roster.

Our three starters are without a doubt Gausman, Berrios and Bassitt(not necessarily in that order). Kikuchi is probably going to the pen and Ryu probably doesn't make the roster.

There can only be 5 bench guys.

Based off matchup I’d probably go Kikuchi over Bassitt, but I could also see them going with a tight leash on either Berrios/Bassitt in their games and throwing Kikuchi out there to salvage it.

I’m gonna call Jays lose Game 1 and then win the next two…just to shut everyone up for a few days of not showing up when it matters

I’d line it up like this

  1. Springer
  2. Belt
  3. Bichette
  4. Vlad
  5. Biggio
  6. Kirk
  7. Varsho
  8. Chapman
  9. Kiermaier

I doubt Davis Schneider will get many at bats with Biggio playing so well but if there’s any match ups vs lefties I would have no problem using Schneider vs LHP. He has a 1.300 OPS vs lefties :|

Toronto sports teams find new ways to lose in the most agonizing fashion possible.
I'm from the Vancouver area. I went to the whole road series in Seattle this year. For the Saturday game my tickets were directly behind home plate in the final row of the entire stadium. In the 5th when Vladdy homered right after Belt and the building was thundering with the cheers of the road team, you could not have possibly convinced me at that moment that I was not literally standing on the top of the world.

There's another of those devastating ones.

Can you imagine earlier this season doing this without Whit in the middle?

Twins have literally lost 18 playoff games in a row...that's just crazy.

A little perspective the first loss of the streak Alex Rodriguez was considered a playoff beast...he went 4-5 in that game and drove in the tying run (almost a walk off)
