Funny that we have a better record than Minnesota but we are the away team.
You could also argue that the Jays are lucky to be on the weaker path

Say what you will, but all I wanted was an opportunity for this pitching staff to pitch in the playoffs. But, if Trevor Richards sees any playing time in these playoffs Schneider should have his head examined and fired in-game.

Expected them to get 88 wins. They got 89.

And no need to rag on Whit. The guy is guaranteed to be gone next year. I'd say the same of Biggio and Espinal because $3+ million is a lot to pay for bench players getting 100 at bats, but they both came on strong at the end and their platoon is perfect for 2B. Likely affected by what happens at 3rd.

Speaking of next year, I hope no one has grown too attached to Davis Schneider because it's FAR more likely he'll be packaged into some kind of trade to grab a 3B. Anyone and everyone they will talk to for a trade for 3B will ask for Schneider. Pretty much everyone except Martinez, who keeps producing even when hitting 200 and before the balls got juiced in the minors, and possibly Horwitz, is pretty much trade bait.

Man alive that's cold DFA'ing a reliever who was a real Godsend in July, early August. Is the report correct that it isn't possible for him to be added to the playoff roster even in a theoretical 2nd series?

2, point still stands
That what? They did what every team in baseball does and celebrated clinching a playoff spot?
The 2 game losing streak is irrelevant. Especially considering the last game was virtually meaningless and we dressed maybe 3 -4 guys who will start game 1. And if we had to win that game we would have seen a very different lineup and probably not had a 2 game losing streak.

Is the point we are supposed to see is you looking for a reason to be upset?

He had to be DFA'ed. The 5 option rule hit and he was the only real option to make room for a last game callup.

I fully believe we would have won today if they didn't clinch last night. Just glad we didn't have to waste Gausman to do it.

What has this team done this year to suggest they rise to the occasion when it's big game time? It was a rhetorical question because we all know the answer is not a damn thing..

Honestly i don't mind the early start at all. I hate 8pm+ starts, since there is no ghost runner on 2nd in playoffs.

Tampa is beat up ... Minny is throwing Sonny and Lopez out at us, not sure the Twinkies are the easier path. If Tampa was healthy, yah the Twinks are the easier path.
