That simply cannot be possible, Yankees dont ever miss the playoffs!Great weekend.
Jays take 2 from the Rays.
Mariners swept.
Houston swept.
Yankees eliminated from the playoffs.
I still think we need to worry about them passing us…..lolThat simply cannot be possible, Yankees dont ever miss the playoffs!
I thought they had it locked up with 2 more wins, and for all intents and purposes they would, but there's technically a very specific scenario where they wouldn't.
Jays record and their chances. For whatever reason when I post a tweet it doesn't embed.
3-3: 100%
2-4: 99.8%
1-5: 90.5%
0-6: 53.9%
Which will be great because then they can rest players.I thought they had it locked up with 2 more wins, and for all intents and purposes they would, but there's technically a very specific scenario where they wouldn't.
HOU goes 2-1 vs SEA, 3-0 vs ARI
SEA goes 1-2 vs HOU, 4-0 VS TEX
TEX goes at least 2-1 vs LAA, 0-4 vs SEA
There's a very good chance they've locked up a spot before the Rays get to Toronto.
I've been fairly optimistic the whole year but after that series I thought they were likely done. However, they did what they had to do. Sweep the Sox and win both series against the Rays and Yanks. The scoreboard also helped.Wow, who knew Jays will be in such a great spot after the Texas sweep? That sweep was so depressing, for sure I did not think they would be in such a great spot 9 games later.
Oh yeah i forgot to mention that as well. best possible out of town scoreboard result as well.Texas sweeps Seattle and the lowly Royals sweep Houston, wow
The most satisfying scenario would be Seattle missing IMO but I'm happy as long as we get in
