Jays are actually 3 games up on Houston I think because of the tiebreaker.

Also Texas is gonna blow this lead. Their bullpen sucks.

If we go 3-3, Asros have to run the table in order to finish 1 game ahead. I like our chances. Even if this happens, that means they swept the Mariners which keeps them back of us. Looks like we are sitting in a GREAT spot.

Jays record and their chances. For whatever reason when I post a tweet it doesn't embed.
3-3: 100%
2-4: 99.8%
1-5: 90.5%
0-6: 53.9%
I thought they had it locked up with 2 more wins, and for all intents and purposes they would, but there's technically a very specific scenario where they wouldn't.

HOU goes 2-1 vs SEA, 3-0 vs ARI
SEA goes 1-2 vs HOU, 4-0 VS TEX
TEX goes at least 2-1 vs LAA, 0-4 vs SEA

There's a very good chance they've locked up a spot before the Rays get to Toronto.

Which will be great because then they can rest players.

Wow, who knew Jays will be in such a great spot after the Texas sweep? That sweep was so depressing, for sure I did not think they would be in such a great spot 9 games later.
I've been fairly optimistic the whole year but after that series I thought they were likely done. However, they did what they had to do. Sweep the Sox and win both series against the Rays and Yanks. The scoreboard also helped.

Jays would be around 93 wins right now if they flirted with .500 against the Os and Rangers. Those are the only two teams that I’ve seen them really struggle with tbh. And of course come postseason anything can happen.

Probably don’t have to do anything

Sit back and watch Seattle and Houston choke it away

There's a strong potential that the Jays could actually finish with a better record than the AL West team that gets a bye to the ALDS, and would actually finish 3rd overall in the AL (behind Baltimore/Tampa)

In addition, the Jays are guaranteed they will play the Wild Card series on the road.

If the Jays do drop down to the 3rd wildcard spot, they're basically set to play the Twins, who again, the Jays likely will have a better overall record but will be forced to play the Wild Card Series on the road.

Looks like I missed a good one today. Seems like a statement game which has not be common place for us. TB with all their injuries and distractions somehow remains super competitive though

I was at the cottage this weekend so I didn't watch the games, but damn man they had a chance to sweep it with the blown save yesterday.

Great game today I watched the highlights the Springer inside the park home run was something to behold, given that he jogged to first base lol.

Vladdy hitting couple dingers he's heating up at the right time, so is the offense in general finally scoring some damn runs, some 2 out runs.

Texas sweeps Seattle and the lowly Royals sweep Houston, wow
The most satisfying scenario would be Seattle missing IMO but I'm happy as long as we get in
