I guess….. or we could be treated to a a decent color guy. Shulman is top end. Buck needs to cut it down to 20 games a year.
It's been a revolving door of play by play & color guys all year both on tv and radio. seems like Rogers isnt interested in having a stable pair anymore.

Lack baseball fundamentals
Lazy fat players and incompetent manager

It’s incredible they are still in the hunt for a playoff spot

Btw , Cinderella time is up for Jay Jackson. That’s the end for him

I didn't watch the last few innings but checked in periodically on the gameday tracker.

Some weird decisions by Schneider in this game. It seems he makes worse decisions as the games get more tense. Not playing Davis in the previous games is quite puzzling.

If Chapman needs a DL stint call up Barger. Further, send Espinal down and bring up Clement.

And that my friends is a wrap on the season.

Because he had one bad outing? Jackson is not the problem with the jays season

No, he is not the Jays problem but that’s 3rd straight bad outing and they have surplus of reliever. He has a short leash and is old

I understand Biggio not being able to lay a bunt down. But someone who bunts regularly to the third base side (Brandon Belt) comes up in extras with the none out and a runner on second, and doesn’t show bunt, you really need to start questioning the manager
That and pitching Calhoun were the two biggest blunders that Schneider made today. Just absolutely an excusable how the average fan knows more than the coach does who's getting paid Millions.

Shulman? He has to the most boring play-by-play announcer in baseball.

When Wagner is on I listen to radio.

I still wonder what happened with Mike Wilner, he was promoted to the play by play, was around for like a year then gone with no reason given from what I remember.

I think they were getting a lot of complaints about him.

I like Jackson, but he's had a few rough outings back to back. I'm not saying drop him, but there is cause for concern.

How is it possible that a team like Minnesota who would be 5th in AL East and are 8th in the AL makes the playoff because they finish 1st in their division why not just take the top 6 teams in each league? top 2 teams have a bye and then 3vs6 4vs5

Is Mattingly just sitting there bidding his time until he's made our new manager? I'm sure he must be scratching his head at some of the moves Schneider has made.

Either the Jays fire Schneider and hire Mattingly or he’s off to NY. There is talk he could be a replacement for Boone.

Yeah because his post game talk was him defending the team and Rogers every time a fan had a complaint about a player/game/management decision. He still does it on twitter. I’ve never heard him once bad mouth ownership/management etc can’t stand him. He was actually getting called out by fans during his radio show before he was canned.

Score 7 runs we normally win with this pitching staff. Mayza has normally been money. Jackson is not a major league pitcher. Fine, this is baseball and the pitching isn’t always perfect. I know with the way this team hits it has to be, but it won’t be.

But, if this team had a manager with two brain cells to rub together, we would have won this game. Why take Schneider out, who runs pretty well, taken out for a pinch runner? Why are Biggio (can’t bunt or hit if his life depended on it) and Espinal (swinging on a 3-0 pitch) still on this team?? It boggles the mind. Waiting for those in here who always find excuses for this team to give me an answer.

Bye bye season. Everyone talks about how easy the schedule is but can’t even win a series against Cleveland
What's funny is we get the Nationals now who are the second hottest team in the NL since the all star break.

Schneider looks like a guy who knows it's over. And it should be! It's a constant display of bad judgment.
He's absolutely a dead man walking

What a disappointing series. Offense was a no-show on Friday and today was just a bunch of questionable decisions. That was Cleveland's first series win in a month lol

Jays are lucky that Texas is in free fall mode and Houston hasn't been amazing lately. The Nats are rolling but there shouldn't be any excuses. Offense needs to be consistent.

But he did that for years. fight with the callers, etc. he wasnt even host of post game talk when he was fired, or not brought back for next season.

This is team is bad at fundamental baseball and it starts with the Manager.
You can see it in their base running, their relay throws and how bad they are at situational hitting.
I don't think I've ever seen a team worse at cashing in runners from 2nd base with no outs.

It's bad enough Espinal is swinging at a 3-0 pitch, what's worse is Schneider giving him permission to do so. You pitch to Calhoun with a base open. You have Belt who is pretty good at bunting hit away when you could've bunted the winning run to 3rd base. On the other hand you have a guy with two sacrifice bunts in his entire career make an attempt and he drops it straight at the charging first baseman. If you can't execute a bunt in that situation you don't belong in the Major leagues anyway, but that's another story.

Overrated, underachieving team, just like another one I know. At least we have the Argos :handclap:

Is Atkins even better than JP Ricciardi?
I have no issues with how management has assembled this team. They have made good trades and signings. They are just being let down by the on field performance, how they respond to this in the off-season will be the telltale sign, as I don’t think they make the playoffs. Dumping Schneider is #1. Some tough trade decisions may have to be made as well

There were concerns about the offense during the offseason after his moves. As GM, the ultimate responsibility lies with him.
