Chapman is going to get paid. Only 3B on the free agent market and both the Yankees and Mets need a 3B. That’s a minimum $200M deal especially with Boras as his agent.

Re: Belt. He sucks now but the Jays signed him because his lefty bat is supposed to benefit from the new dimensions. I can’t see them giving up on him anytime soon until he has had a large sample of at bats in Toronto.

First new team in his career, in a new country with all games on the road, he should adjust in time.
