If this is for me:

1) It’s not morally superior. It’s called being realistic. The game has changed. You can prefer it be different all you want, it’s not going back. I prefer my parents left me a big inheritance, unfortunately they didn’t.

2) I thought I did a pretty good job of justifying my position and I didn’t say people can’t have their opinion. He’s just wrong in this instance.

3) I am “white knighting” because I prefer guys not get concussed on a regular basis by hits that were once considered legal? If so, guilty as charged.

4) I have posted here maybe 10 times in the in the last year before this morning (roughly), so you must have a different kind of tax than I do, which is paid weekly.

5) If you don’t like my posts, put me on ignore. It will save us both some hassles.

Your posts are fine, until the point you begin a position by delegating those who oppose you as "knuckle-draggers". I'll join in the fun by assuming you're pretty dim by doing so.

i don't like seeing kids get brain damage, so i guess i am.

I'll assume football, boxing, UFC are all banned from your television set, then

Death, taxes, analytics, and white knighting when people have the audacity to prefer a different game

You’re so morally superior
I like the Knight reference

My strength is probably my morals as well

And I worked for Treasury

This post is fantastic - like looking at back of dollar bill trying to figure out what’s this eye on a pyramid mean - or who’s the bad guy on Scoobie Doo

Still don’t see where I’m wrong exactly.

There is no way in the world, by any measure where one could logically say that Heinen is tough by NHL standards.

Even in todays watered down NHL standards.

Is he talented, I guess, but his inconsistency certainly impacts his effectiveness.

In the end, as Wally often puts it, he’s a JAG.

Every team has them and every team needs them.

Sometimes even the JAGS have a good couple of months or even a season or 3.

In the end, for me, there are just a bunch of other JAGS that I’d rather see play for the Bruins.

Agree to disagree.

You can call Savard a fake tough guy all you want but the fact is that he actually would pair up, pull guys out of a scrum and throw a punch or two if necessary.

Heinen skates away, or picks up gloves and sticks any time a scrum happens.

Heinen is probably a good kid and well liked by his teammates.

Hell I’d probably love him if he were my neighbor or son in law, but I despise watching him play hockey and he’s not anyone I’d want to need to count on if things got ugly on the ice.
I probably would be like Heinen- nice guy, loved by teammates, cats & dogs, women, and cool kids, with Stan Jonathan fighting ability

So, I’m dim, morally superior, a white knighter and as bad as death and taxes, but I can’t say knuckle-dragger? So, it’s alright to categorize and generalize people, but only if I agree with you? Lol

How about Neanderthal? Is that ok?

Do yourself a favor and hit the ignore button. We are not going to get along here.

You have Taylor Hall number of posts, and David Krejci number of likes, that's pretty rad

Would I have landed here had you not started out that way? I mean, how old is that 'do unto others' thing, anyway? You're right, we're not.

When did I say Heinen was “tough” by NHL standards?

I said they’re a lot of guys that play a softer game and that team toughness can be achieved even with finesse guys on the roster.

How am I wrong exactly?

Also, I’m not sure where this idea that Heinen is inconsistent comes from. He’s a solid, responsible player that gives a good effort almost every night. His offense is inconsistent, but that’s a different animal.

He’s only “inconsistent” if he’s in your Top 6 and you are counting on him for goal scoring. If you are paying him $900k to play in the Botton 6, he’s actually been pretty consistent on a per 60 basis.

I wouldn’t read too much into that. People aren’t asking about him. Nobody asked about Zboril either and even though I picked him to be waved he has looked really dynamic.

Probably not much to discuss because his output is really easily predicted, a known entity if you will.

I’m wrong a lot. Not with this subject though.

Nah, you are.

I’ve seen Crosby live maybe 50 times - I grabbed my buds glass seats to take the yute as an 8 year old to be able to say ‘I saw Lemieux & Crosby play together’

I’m not sure I ever saw him so happy as when Heinen returning as one of the Cassidy 5 on February 8 2022 to TD Garden and scoring TWO goals

He was so intimidated playing a road game he dropped a deuce on Butchie’s head

Also interesting sitting a few feet away from ice was watching the Bruins guys clearly showing fondness for their former teammate pre face off

The only other player a saw come back and his teammates celebrate harder was Reilly Smith with Florida

You’ve said that he’s not soft.
Semantics maybe, so I concede that one.

As for inconsistency, he’s literally had a few stretches of 20+ games without a goal

A few others in double digits.

In the end, as I said he’s a 25-30 point JAG who I really don’t enjoy watching play.

Who, I’d love to see not be on this team because there are so many other options that I’d rather watch.

Who is group A today

They could make up 2/3 of tomorrow

The regulars will be pulled but gotta think they’d go that route

I really wish they would wear number jerseys. It is impossible to tell who is who with just the small number on the helmet
U get a program?

I’m here talking with Ali and we agree, not having the names or at least numbers on their jerseys makes it much less enjoyable.

Maybe it’s my 53 year old eyes, but it’s not a lot of fun tying to decipher the small helmet number and then looking it up on your phone is tedious.

Heinen is skilled - I want to see how he does with Monty

Boqvist- Geekie - Heinen

Would like to see Monty kid suggest this to his dad right before he falls asleep
