Have to give credit to the Bs brass and coaches. Roster looks like it is shaping up nicely. Also, have to think that Looch had some input on who his linemates would be. Marchy likely has some input on roster decisions as well since Monty seems to be keen on getting input from team leaders.

Now that there are some promising youngsters in the mix this season will be even more interesting and fun.
Don't want to be a wet blanket but let's not forget Foligno was waived last season as well but never missed a game. I hope this is just not window dressing for cap reasons

Have we actually reached the point that we are worried about JJ spending too much of his money?

Really?

I never thought Id see that day.
Yes - he’s been so good to us last 20 years I’d like to see him climb in Forbes richest Americans without having to over inflate his worth

Why are fan so concerned with Jacob's money? It's $800k, which is nothing to Jacob's.

How is Brown's signing hurting the Bruins? He's waived and his cap hit is coming off the books. It's not going to stop the Bruins from making any deals on giving signing anyone to an extension.
He cleared last time I checked so it isn't coming off the books. It was terrible "talent"evaluation and bad business.

If anyone coming on here to complain about Brown contract and has cat litter to change or dishes to wash you are not using your time properly

Congratulations Danton !!!!!
I just got done doing the dishes and cleaning the litter box, came on here and saw this and busted a gut. Did you have one of those 900 number psychic lines? Some seem to come on here to piss and moan, my cat does that when there's no food in the dish and the litter box isn't clean. That's OK,I still love you both. Here We Go Bruins, Here We Go.

Yes, his $800k cap hit is off the books and not impacting the Bruins cap situation. He's being paid $800k to play in the AHL and the only person that impact is Jacobs.

It’s not the money itself it is the cap/contract # implications that concerns peJacob's.
The Bruins have 4 open contract slots as of today, which is average. Brown has no cap implications because his entire cap hit van be buried in the AHL, just like Zboril's

If nothing else, the Jacobs are good businessmen.

You don’t become good at business by intentionally throwing away money.

Brown was signed to a 2 year, 1 way contract, which means he makes NHL money in the AHL.

Ergo, they would not have given him that deal if they expected him to be in the minors. They would have given him the Megna deal.

You asked why people keep talking about his contract, that’s why. That’s the significance. It’s not that people care about Jacobs losing money. It was simply that the contract indicated this was not the plan for Brown (or Boqvist).

Or maybe that's what it took to sign him and he's worth it for nhl insurance and as a respected presence for the club in Providence.

Sure seemed like steady leadership was a problem for the P bruins down the stretch last year when it's needed most
