Operating on the principle that Pagnotta is always wrong, I am forced to conclude that Meier will end up going to Vegas and playing for free.

9 is high but I'd be willing to do it for both he and Bratt. Sure I'd love like 8.5 for both but if I'm only overpaying by a combined 1 mil then that's fine.

Yeah that's the thing even if Vegas got him, I don't see how they keep him unless Stone is done for good, and if that's the case they're better off hitting the rebuild button.

If he's going to be a pure rental, San Jose is better served screwing over Vegas and still getting good assets than taking a slightly better package from us. It's all sero sum between division rivals unlike cross conference trades.
