The problem as one source mentioned is that if there’s a prospect or something Vegas has that SJS really likes. We might have better prospects but they may not actually like Holtz or Mukhammadullin much. Maybe they love Vegas’s top prospect.

Both of these are fine points, but Vegas is my WC team, I know their org fairly well and I just don't see it as a fit. Then again, they are bloodthirsty vampires whenever a big fish is available and they think they have a chance

That's my sense too. It would be great if Barbashev cost their first or Cormier or Brisson, but that's unlikely.
